This reminds me, as the biggest black panther fan whose been reading his comics for the last 20 years, that movie was the furthest thing from the comics but nobody gave a shyt because the movie was dope (and the majority white hardcore comic fans didn't read his books anyway).

But... I'll take 95% of that movie over the comics 10/10 times tho . It was a flat out better interpretation and representation of the mytho.


Ppl will know T'Challa and friends from the movie, just like they know the X-Men from the '92 cartoon, video games, and Hugh Jackman movies.

It does help to take overarchiving themes from the comics as guidance but nobody (aka general audiences) really cares about the specifics or originality as long as the quality is top knotch.

Luke Cage season 2 broke off from the comics and what they did was better than anything Marvel Comics has ever done with the character, in at least the last 20 years. Possibly ever.
