Seems like they didnt bring it back because it looked bad, seems like they brought it back because they were gonna get sued



I'm gonna assume it's gonna be the bare minimum they can do/skeleton crew type deal w/o getting taken to court :manny:

They also haven't brought it back, they've changed it and made it something worse. I just listened to someone explain it.

The old program let diverse writers and directors join the program, and once you graduate from the program you have the credits to get hired on TV shows

But... this is the key part to what made the old workshop so good...

Because of the way the program worked, people were very likely to hire you because you'd be "free" to them, and the program/workshop paid your salary. Which is great.

With this new program, or the version they're "bringing back", that won't be the case. They won't pay any salary once you graduate.

So even if you graduate from this new "program", you might not get hired on TV shows because you won't be "free" any more.

Same program NBC had that allowed 30 Rock to hire Donald Glover.
