You, hines was raised by his fathers mom and then his mother later, but you are right, maybe they just come out better raised in the us.

Yeah probably cuz there’s actual Black people in the US.

With as racist as this world is, you think it’s easy for a Black kid growing up in setting where they’re the only one?? And not even in a Westernized country where a Black kid would still get exposed to some Blackness through the media, so maybe they wouldn’t feel as alone, but in a place like Japan bro…where Black people might as well be invisible and don’t exist. Of course Rui and every other Black person who grew up in Japan has some issues as a result.

I do some work with youth and I have yet to meet one Black youth who was raised around others who doesn’t have serious identity issues and mental health challenges.
