i can see it from both sides, you committing a lot for 3 seasons for a guy we can all agree aint worth them type of dollars.

flipside if the bulls did go out on a limb with that deal i wouldnt be mad cause then they would give some real sign that they trying to win. and rudy at the 3 with butler at the 2 off sets a lot that you would lose with deng. plus you gain another legit scoring option to open the floor for rose.

we desperately need a guy with rudy gay skill set. at the same time thats a hell of a lot to pay for it.

deng would have to go out, then you would have to amnesty boozer. and rudy gay is not dynamic enough to make up for so much that would have to go out, which means we would have to surround him and rose with a ton that we dont have at the moment.

is rudy gay good enough where you can just slide bums next to them and they can compete? cause past noah we would have to make up for a ton.

only 2 teams are willing to pay that luxury tax
-lakers & brooklyn
brooklyn would be the best deal for MEM
k hump and a 1st rd pick for gay
MEM saves bout 30-32 million

In all honesty, not too much of a downgrade for Memphis if at all

Dudley may not be as athletic or even as talented but his skill set is a better for that team

Kind of a win win trade for both teams if it goes down like that

at saying dudley is anywhere near rudy's talent level

Which is beyond stupid since Rudy averages 36 minutes a night and Joe Johnson averages 38. For that you might as well just dump Crash. Oh, and Z-Bo and Marc BOTH play 35 minutes a game and Hump ain't a center on any planet ALL while not giving them a SF at ALL to work with.

With those two beast in the middle, the Grizz just need a SF that can catch & shoot/ hustle & play D.




Dudley is one of the most underrated players in the league in that aspect.



He's a better, more versatile Shane Battier....who the Grizz loved


I think their offense would flow better/ be more effective with Dudley instead of Gay.



I think Gay could blow the fukk up on the Suns, though......I'm talking 25 ppg at least.There's nobody else on that team.I think Rudy Gay has the talent to be a franchise player.Especially on a team like the Suns with a history of run & gun/ playground style basketball.



If this trade goes through, expect Gay to go on a Harden like run and average 30ppg the first two weeks


I think it's a good trade for both teams.The Suns get a player they can market to the fans (Rudy Gay is Michael Jordan in comparison to who the Suns have as the "face of the franchise" right now) and Grizz add more tangible fire power to their roster
