Yeah his twitter rants ain't making him anymore sympathetic at all. Making him seem like an egomaniac that wantts the organization to cater to him instead of doing what's necessary on his end to make it in the league.

He is really putting mental illness in a negative light with all his rants. I understand the feeling of stigma and whats needed for his recovery,.but so many people with his diagnosis didn't get anywhere near the accommodations that he did and they still do what they have to do.

What was he thinking when he signed up for NBA Draft and signed the contract? Was he planning on taking Greyhound bus from Houston to New York for a game and if there is a back-to-back game leaving at half time so he can catch a ride?
This dude is not even showing up for practices. He can walk to those. I'm sure if he worked with the organization they would help him out, take a pay cut but try first practicing, play home games but sitting at home and bytching is not helping anyone.

Team Option and Qualifying Offer are included. I like this kid and I heard his story on NPR radio of all places. He needs help but what he is requesting is unprecedented. It would be one thing if he developed these issues over the course of a career, but requesting your employer to accommodate for you in this way off jump is crazy.
But I wouldn't be surprised if he gets his way. This could potentially be a PR nightmare for the Rockets organization. If they could get the kid to shut-up, shave his beard, etc he could be on some "Ambassador of NBA mental issues" type ish. It could be a good look for the Rockets and him if they work out something.
I haven't read all the details so excuse me if I missed something.

I have the same disorder, if u wanna call it that. I dont even view it as a disorder, everybody has some anxiety. When u develop negative thought patterns and dont take care of yourself, thats when it effects u in the physical form. Royce just expects everybody to accommodate him. What about the 300+ other NBA players that arent complaining about the league being unfair?
Hes making folks with anxiety look worse then we are. The thing is you have a f*ckin opportunity to play in the NBA. You coulda been born handicapped mentally or physically. Im afraid of flying too, havent flown in years. But f*ck all my fears, if i had this chance no way i would let it slip by me. This dude's acting like a child, the Rockets should fine and waive him. IMO I just think he wants out of Houston and he's using his anxiety disorder to get himself outta there. Woj might very well be in the wrong and using some facts to create embellishments (which he does plenty of), but Royce won't have many people in his corner because of the shyt that IS true where Royce is in the wrong.

Basketball seems to be the least of his issues.
Dude is clearly is not cut out for that line of work (theres more to the NBA than steppin on the court every night) and should find something that fits him and disorder better like the rest of us people do.
