Ya'll be trying too hard. Dude ended up selling 2 million copies of a comeback album that was poorly received in 2006. In 2007, he sold a million copies of an album that didn't have a huge hit single.
So he had a double platinum album and another album that went platinum before marrying Beyonce in 2008. Beyonce put out an album in 2008 that didn't feature Jay Z, but was home to one of her biggest singles to date ("Single Ladies"). Said albums sold less than her two previous albums, which both featured Jay Z on two songs each. One of those songs, is one of her biggest songs to date, if not her biggest ("Crazy In Love"). Two others were singles ("Deja Vu" and "Upgrade You"). See how that works.

Royce is one of my favorite spittas on the mic but he gotta let that Benzino shyt go it's been damn near 20 years now and Em has clearly moved on, Hailey is grown up now, its over.
Royce, for one is an awful rapper and two he stays talking tough but he can't even be left around a bottle of mouthwash without breaking into a cold sweat.

Extended his career? He was selling more records before their relationship. Yeah, him dating Beyonce helped to counter claims that would potentially hurt his standing with females hence why he had "Bonnie & Clyde '03" and "Excuse Me Miss" as singles on BP2.
You can't really say his career was extended by their relationship without drawing a correlation between Beyonce's breakthrough as a solo artist and their relationship either.

Jay connecting with Bey expanded the hell out of his reach and audience that’s pretty much indisputable. Lol. Same way Nip being with Lauren London put him on a lot of casuals radar, not saying the situation is comparable because Jay was already a huge artist and one of the biggest rappers in the game. Nip wasnt. But it’s also the same way Cordae’s profile raised after being with Naomi Osaka.
It benefited both of them is my point. That is undisputable. Jay was already an established solo artist. Beyonce was trying to establish herself as a solo when they got together. Her solo career didn't take off until they started doing songs together and those songs are some of her biggest. I'd say Nip did more for Lauren London in terms of raising her profile than her raising his. Casuals possibly still refer to Lauren London as New New and that role was 2006. Then there's her time on The Game (on its last legs during the BET run).
Yes, Beyonce had huge success as a member of DC. Still, that isn't the same as solo success, because its shared among the other members of the group.
