Before the losses, the UFC hyped her up to the biggest super push/hype machine probably ever. Had Joe Rogan say that she was a once in a lifetime HUMAN BEING, even going into tears talking about how great Rousey is. Even had people say that she could beat up a bunch of male fighters on the UFC roster and beat up Floyd Mayweather too. The hype by the UFC and the way she was shoved down everybody's throats, along with her starting to believe and buying into her own hype was when the turn started and that Holm loss was when the complete alienation happened with fans. She was a mental wreck, went on Ellen show thinking about suicide over one loss and didn't do any media at all after her loss and no media for the Nunes fight. When she was winning, she was all over the place and shoved to the mainstream and didn't mind being everywhere but didn't want to deal with the media after losing. She loved and wanted all the praise and hype when she was winning, but once she lost she didn't want anything to do with adversity is how people see it as. Once she started to fight more well balanced fighters she got merked and exposed badly when matched up against Holm & Nunes that she quit MMA as a whole is how MMA fans and sports fans view her. A lot of it is on both the UFC hype machine and herself for the decline and why she isn't getting much support in her move to pro wrestling. Brock got KO'd twice real bad in the UFC before coming back to the WWE, but it didn't hurt him at all with his aura in comparison to Rousey.
I don't really keep up with MMA like that beyond watching the occasional fight. Did Ronda really alienate her fans that bad after those losses? From a more casual perspective, I haven't really heard much from her after the second big one.
Yea cause there isn’t a huge segment that still chants one more match at Taker or will shave their necks for Bryan to be paralyzed from one more match
I need to see this broad getting knocked out for real again
