I liked Zeu$s sample, but liked Burh Mans drum programming a lot, and the intro sounds had me buggin out high as fukk
As always Zeus you come through with the samples and it seems you composed over it as well. That was pretty dope but you covered up the drums completely.
Bruh man- This was definitely different.... The intro didn't keep me for as long as it lasted but the drums and everything after that point was presented nicely so you get my vote.

I mean relationship to the sample the drums are covered up tremendously. Liked both beats but the drums for Zeus were just too quiet, I understand what he was trying to do though. The way the beat dropped for Bruh Man was

Bruh Man took this one, He had a dope beat that reminded me of some Timbo type shyt. Nice buildup of the track as well. Just an all around better beat.

He's not sugarcoating fam, he's just being constructive. If someone tells you it's wack with no explanation, then you have nothing to build on. It's easier to say something is wack and not explain it. That's why not everyone can be teachers. Everybody is basically saying the same thing though. If your chops are going to be repetitive like that, the drums must Cary the beat so that it can continue to move and be enjoyable.I still don't buy you've only been making beats for a year though. The progress is scary.

I intend to actually take this seriously for a bit and see where it goes so thats why I harp so much in these tournies since its rare so many people listen to my shyt and I can pick their brain. Its no slight to my opponent I truly just want my shyt to sound as realized as possible. I lowered the sample and upped the drums and it does sound clearer now tbh, Even though the initial vibe is intentional (hazy, drugged out, reverb drenced) I gotta realize that nikkas arent going to hop on a sound that they not used to like that. So I'm glad I'm getting my ass beat so I play more to the intended audience. Alot of beats sound ten times better with a spitter over them tho lol. take 40's boring ass shyt for instance. terrible by itself imo.
oh and it hasn't been a year. started last december iirc.

breh I always try to be respectful when it comes to criticism, cuz I'm not a hating type of dude. I used to make beats too and was pretty decent (2010-2011) so I know it's difficult but, I'm an emcee at heart so I respect cats who take time to master that aspect of hip-hop.With your beat, the drums really were holding it back. I don't like to use the r word (repetitive) because so many nikkas get up in arms about that shyt so I try to word it better, but truthfully your beat was a lil repetitive to me, it's just that the sample was so dope the repetition didn't stand out as much. Some louder drums and maybe a lil more bass would have really caused the beat to go harder and sound more progressive imo.
You already know I've listened to your beats since you first started posting and you've improved a lot while maintaining your key sound so it's good to see you continuing to grow. I actually don't even think this is the best beat I've heard from you. I actually think the beat where you flipped the Bayonetta final boss theme was your best track but
