Put Snoop in a verzus with G Rap, Black Thought or any other lyrical rapper and watch them get eaten alive by Snoops catalogue and live performance.
snoop would recite their verses with/for them. He loves this rap shyt.

that x/snoop verzuz was so beautiful

I dont think you what "rapping" is, Snoop is one the greatest RAPPERS ever.
I know what it is. I also know Snoop has one crtically acclaimed album. Snoop strengths are in other areas which is way I said he has a claim to be in top 10 discussion depending on the criteria

Snoop Dogg is not a top ten rapper.

However, he could easily be featured on a list of the top 10 rap albums of all time.

One thing I will say, nikkas always move the goal posts for nikkas they don't like.

Drake having ghost writers is enough for nikkas to not take him seriously. But it's different rules for Snoop for some reason. :jbhmm:
This is my main issue from the responses here.

nikka stop being weird. The posts here are in response to what Rory and Mal said. Look at the list, Drake is in the top 10; so why shouldn't Snoop be included?

ur 2nd point is irrelvant

Wayne birthed the whole new generation. the drugged out mumble rap, the melodic rap etc. Plus wayne a better rapper, and a better artist

Wanna put Wayne in a Top 10 list? Fine, but ya'll ain't about to slander Snoop Dogg to do it. Snoop >>>>> Wayne. Snoop's influence on Hip Hop >>>>> Wayne's. "Oh, Wayne has x amount of children". Snoop was a part of influencing a whole style and sound that went from coast to coast to even having Brat dressing and sounding like a female Snoop. Oh and Snoop helped pioneer melodic rap, which is why nobody looked at him funny when he dropped "Sensual Seduction".

Snoop is my top 5 favs

but he aint a top 10 rapper.. discography falls off.

Doggystyle is a classic
and blue carpet treatment is a classic to me.. lots of great singles and gems on his albums too

Snoop's real fall is lyrics. But flow, delivery, etc... one of the GOATs.

It all depends how u weight the list

Blue Carpet Treatment def was a classic fr. Imagine, Gangbangin 101>>>

This board really thinks lyricism is the end all, be all of being able to rap. There's other qualities that are required to be a great rapper than just being lyrical. Snoop's flow and delivery more than made up for some of the lyrical shortcomings.

He’s a top 10 rap personality…not sure where I would rank him all time as an actual rapper/artist, but I know not top 10…I haven’t even bothered to listen to the vast majority of his albums…I know Doggystyle forwards and backwards but haven’t heard a whole snoop joint since he was on no limit…he had a run where he was the go to feature for the generic “west coast” (or sometimes, alternately, the generic “smoke weed”) song on albums in the 2000s that almost always earned an auto skip for me

I haven’t proactively actually wanted to hear snoop rap for the overwhelming bulk of his career…but he’s in my top ten rap “icons” off sheer force of personality

That last point is hilarious cause on banks hfm album, I thought that generic I get high song was so bad and corny :dead:
