His production at its low isnt as bad and at its highs is kinda underrated

He made an interesting point talking about picking beats to let the raps breathe. Quite often I see a lot of great lyricists sometimes get hit wtih the bad production label (People used to hit Lupe with it which is nuts too) and I do think sometimes its people wanting production thats super hard and strong and not just minimalist.

In any event, I think Nas at this stage in his career is more focused on the beats and I peeped that when he did people found problems with him not going hard enough on the bars.

Better than What They Gonna Do, though :lolbron:

Comedy that you had a Jigga stan in here talking about Nas getting weak beats from good producers when BP2 is like a monument to the laziest, weakest shyt that Timbaland, The Neptunes and Just Blaze ever did.

Nah, some of Just Blaze's best work is on that album.

I will agree that Jay Z got leftovers. There were definitely better Timbaland and Neptunes production on albums that dropped within weeks of BP2. Out of The Neptunes and Timbaland tracks, "Excuse Me Miss" is classic. "The Bounce" is dope. I liked "2 Many Hoes". The rest were forgettable or atrocious. LL's 10 had better Neptunes beats. The Missy and Ms. Jade albums from that same month definitely had better Timbaland beats.

DETROIT (Do Every Thing Right Or It's Trouble)
nikka no its not. Ether is a better diss, but Takeover is sonically better. And Blueprint 2 >>>>>>>>> Gods Son
Fukk no! :mjlol: Ain’t nobody riding around listening to That punk rock “LAMEEEEEEEEE!” Sound fx. Instant skip on The Blueprint now days, back then not so much. Meanwhile Ether still gets played on Sundays in Detroit Radio on WJLB.

Takeover only had the edge as far as quotables and even that is debatable.

Takeover aged like milk sonically.

I agree that Blueprint 2 had better production than Gods Son. But It was a double album and it wasn’t better than ROC La Familia or the black album.

nikka its a whole world outside of Detroit nikka lol Takeover still get played on Hot 103 Jamz in KC. What the fukk that got to do with anything? Ether has always been and will be inferior sonically.

Beat wasn’t bad it just don’t flow with the overall album.

Braveheart party is clearly a QB’s Finest leftover track.

Sounds like a failed Missy Elliott single, this shyt is trash.

Matter a fact if Nas could have finessed Timbo for this beat, and laid the same bars down, coulda been a smash in the club

Yeah Timbo has always fed Jay garbage outside 'The Bounce' beat.
