Unfortunately, it’s going to be a slight against him in this draft for that very reason. I’m a WFT fan, and I knew immediately when Haskins busted with us that it would eventually be held against Fields, one because he struggled late in the CFB season (around the same time Haskins got cut), and two because Fields had an embarrassment of riches at OSU when looking at that roster (WR’s, RB’s and a great coach in Ryan Day).

Him having that great game head to head against Lawrence probably saved him from dropping further in the first round. I see Lawrence dropping no further than 15, but most likely will still be drafted before pick 10. If he does fall to 15, he would end up in NE, which would be outstanding for him, because he avoids being drafted to some loser dumpster fire team like the Jets, or the Lions, or my team.

Man yall need weapons BAD, you don't even know if The white boy is a bad as yall make him out to be. He throwing to Jamison Crowder and Breshad Perriman. with Frank Gore splitting carries at starter. Barring the QB being a legit superstar almost everyone not in the top 8 QB's needs more help than that.

Problem with bringin in Sewell (and im not completely convinced he's worth the #2 pick) is that he's gonna wanna get paid like a left tackle, even tho he'll play right for us. Becton's gonna get PAID, and then we'd have to shell another monster contract for Sewell the following year. That's not smart cap work. You gotta split up the riches.

To make a long post short. I’ve seen throws from fields that if we’re better placed would’ve been walk in touchdowns and not just big plays. I’ve seen Zach Wilson make more of those throws than fields ‍
