I saw someone on Twitter bring up Terrelle Pryor (who was a supplemental draft pick that played in a COMPLETELY different system) to try to shyt on Fields. No one brought up Matt Leinart, Matt Barkley, and Mark Sanchez being bums in the league when it came to Sam Darnold, so why do it with Fields? :mjpls:
Lmaoo!! U see it

Didn’t hear anything about Dennis Dixon, Harrington or Mariota for Herbert

Most colleges don't run pro style offenses where you have to make 3rd or 4th reads. It's usually run the ball, throw screens, throw verticals, play action and the rpo.

95% of qbs are drafted off there arm strength, size and pocket mobility. This whole who can and can't read defenses is over played. You can teach a young qb how to read defenses better at the nfl level just go ask the Bills.

But realistically the odds say neither will be good, look at my thread on how many qbs drafted in the first round in the past 37 years have had a career of at least 10 years with sustained success, multiple playoff wins and possibly a championship
It’s tough staying in the league 10+ years for anybody but look at the last few MVP’s. All of them were first round pick QB’s. Damn near every QB in the playoffs this year was a first round pick

only school who will have multiple starting QBs next year is Oklahoma & Clemson and maybe Alabama depending on what happens with Tua/Mac Jones

Heath Schuler is one of the biggest busts ever the next starting Tennessee QB after him was Peyton Manning

But would you not say if you draft a dude 1st round you expect him to survive two contracts ??

i understand everyone is not going to a great situation, and injuries, etc but some of these guys honestly if they weren’t a qb would not survive their 5 year contract, like i said in the other thread i was looking up some drafts and you literally have first rounders who lasted anywhere from 1-4 years. But the thought is that if you draft 1st round you expect them to last a long time

most big schools don’t have a string of qbs worth a damn
