If u in the top 5 on here who's the other 4? Serious question by the way.

Rell Shyt

I haven't played them all, but I know among the more dedicated fighting game players that have in-depth SF knowledge to my knowledge of convos on here, DonkeyPuncher and Don Mack most likely are. Profasi and Naijan, whom I have played on here, I'd say are good as or better than I in SF and liable to be as knowledgeable.

That's was up fam to play in a tourney. It's a whole other animal compared to playing against your friends or online. I can't really comment on meaty combos or unblockables but in reguards to ambiguous cross-ups. The way i practiced defending against it was i'd choose a character like Rufus for example. I'd go into the training mode and use his dive kick from different angles to learn which ways to block. I'd do this for about a week for maybe 30 mins before i'd hop online. Once i came across that character it became significantly easier to guard their cross-ups due to the repetition of the training. I'd do that for each character i'd have an issue with until i got the feel of each character. Granted i'd still get caught every now and again but it helped to improve my defense. Nothing beats training against a real person though so to your original point if you can find someone off of here that would spar with you that would be the way to go. Any characters you have difficulty with? And what are you doing for training now?

yeah i perfer to play in a tournament for obvious reasons like lagging etc well i know how to block cross ups u just hold foward

as far as training im practicing meaty setups safe jumps and ambigious setups i was talking to somebody on facebook and they told me ambigious setups is something that is hard to tell what side they will land on and where to block etc.

and idk know how to read a opponent.

Yea that's what ambiguous set-ups are. Once you learn what each characters set-ups are, and what angle they have be at in order to make it ambiguous it becomes much easier to guard them. When it comes to reading an opponent it's just a matter of paying attention to what they do in key situations like Knock Down, Neutral etc. Also when reading opponents it's good to have a basic understanding of the characters they choose. I won't lie reading an opponent is probably the hardest part of all fighting games but that's what make the genre so rewarding imo. You become better at it the more time you put in the game and the more people you play. For example if me and you play. I've never played you before but you'ed pick Eryu. I may not know your tendencies yet but i'm familiar with Eryu. I'm looking out for Cr.Mk to Hadoken, If i see Hurricane Kicks i'm expecting Cr.Hk to come next. As the match progress i'm paying attention to when you jump, whenever you back dash after wake up. Every time you Shoryuken from a wake-up. I may lose a round or a match observing this but i'm going to start making some educated reads. At that point your gonna have to start making educated reads on me. Damn i love fighting games.

To feed off what Rell is saying it is true Evo and majors tourneys are a different beast than playing and owning scrubs on XBL...I have won a few tourneys and beat some respectable players in the scene but i would probably get bodied by the elite of the FGC...the reason I am telling you this breh is I dont want you to get your hopes up that even leveling up with the best of this site will prepare you for some of them cats at EVO...for some of them all they do all day is SF...no women...no deodorant...no life...just Street Fighter :mjcry:

Aiyyo the plot thickens, I'm pickin the locks in the back entrance
Payin attention, not tryin to get knocked and catch a fat sentence
Not to mention these kids is mafioso with lots of dough so
they got poco lock with the down to rock Morocco chokehold (oh oh)
Their security system's linear laser protection
No sweat, I brought the miniature mirrors for reflectin
Inspectin the vault, for weapons assault, second of course
It's poisonous rays, boiled and baked in epsom salt
Rep in New York is the cat burgalar, the fat murderer
Slippin the clip in the Mac, inserterer
Hurtin your pockets, droppin your stock to zero profit
Holding heroes hostage and mansions for ransom like DeNiro mob flicks
Back to the top again, hand the grand prize
The safe flies open, the shining was blinding my eyes
I cracked the code, enough ice to make you laugh at gold
Passed the dough to Cuban started movin for the back real slow
That's when I heard the sirens hopin that my ears was lyin
Knew we was dyin when I saw the guard we tortured cryin
Pointing at the building screamin, "I can see them, kill em!"
Snipers was willing but couldn't, there's too many civilians
Still inside nowhere to hide nowhere to run
Cuban said, "fukk it, we die, we die busting our guns"
