Not sure what's up with the negativity but this is absolutely brilliant....hear me out on this...

What are two of the current products biggest problems? .... Kayfabe being dead and the PG era right?

So pretty much, we all agree that Kayfabe is dead... or is it? The biggest moments have often been when we all had to question whether what we seen was real or had some realness behind it for example, the pipe bomb, the Montreal Screw Job, When Lesnar stiffed Orton with the elbow, etc this is when Wrestling is at it's best is when even for a second, we think there might be some truth to it..... even if its worked shoot, we are more interested when we think there is some truth behind it.

the next issue is we all agree that PG promos are not what's up.......

so what it looks like they are doing is now is strategically having F-bomb adult promos tinged with reality on social media platform as a way to build interest in matches and skirt the restrictions from TV. Assuming this is designed which I believe it to be but even the fact I'm saying that proves my point. We still have like doubts even if they are small.

and here is the most brilliant part about it, breaking kayfabe is the new kayfabe. We all question "whoa WWE would never admit it's fake" hence some of us (not me, I know this is worked shoot) but some of the audience will think whoa, maybe Becky and Ronda really do have some beef, Maybe Ronda really is leaving and maybe she is going Rogue....even if we suspect its a work, we still have that .3% doubt in our minds.

They are bringing Kayfabe back through social media because that's how they will dodge the TV restrictions and avoiding young children seeing it. You have to be the most cynical smarkiest of smarks able to see this adult-aimed stuff probably through word of mouth or through message boards like this one. The amount of people who would see this rant are probably .00001% of the WWE's audience. How many of us would of seen this without already being on the message board or through social media perhaps.

It's absolutely brilliant ... are we really going to complain and whine about R-rated adult promos and blending of reality and fiction?
damn I just said this, before reading your post.. the complainers are mad they are being worked.. I say it all the time lets just sit back and watch to be entertained and not to expect breaking bad level of writing..

They have fumbled this angle and feud worse than Rock vs Austin for Mania 17. At least for that one we got those dope sit down interviews with J.R that could make up for the moronic shyt they booked for that build up.
Dude, who else besides you thinks they fumbled one of the best build ups to a mania ever?

:patrice: they would never say "Wrestling is fake.. it's all scripted.. this is ronda way of being heel?.....they just wont check her on it

I just never been a fan of disrespecting the business
WWE is just fukking everything up huh?
:dahell:

Imagine being 8 years old again.

Wrestlemania III is about to go down in a few weeks.

You are stressed because Andre The Giant is WAY bigger than the strongest man in the world except your dad: Hulk Hogan.

You ask your parents: mom.. dad.. what if Hulk Hogan loses and really gets hurt when he has to face Andre The Giant. He's HUGE. Did you see them at the press conference.. I mean.. he's HUGE!!"

Your parents play along and say: "Well.. anything, really anything can happen out there. BUT.. Hulk Hogan is one special wrestler"

And then a week before the actual Main Event.. they show video of Hulk Hogan backstage and he says "Well good thing brother that this whole thing.. is SCRIPTED and it's NOT EVEN REAL brother. You little vitamin kids out there actually think there's a problem with me and Andre The Giant? We're stuffing our pockets you dumb kids!!! Wrestling's not real brother! Hahaha"

You'd be fukking destroyed and your parents would be scrambling to explain that away.

That's what it's like to be an 8-year old watching WWE today. And this is why, 32 years from now (WMIII was in ' 87, 32 years ago) WWE will be in HUGE trouble and their fanbase will be WAY smaller. Look in the crowd: most fans are around 30-35. So they became fans during the Hulkamania 'it's real to me' era.

Ronda - besides being a terrible sport in real life and being the ONLY UFC fighter EVER getting the OK from Dana White to not do A N Y press before or after the Amanda Nunes fight and the rare champion who refused to do an interview after losing the title (Tyron Woodley just say there and gave Usman props after losing his title like a real champion) - should not be the person telling 8-year olds wrestling is fake. And if kids find out now because of internet and friends etc. fine - you can't stop that. But WWE can stop screwing the future of their own company by not letting writers "break kayfabe" as an angle.

There is so much irony in this post.
Dont work yourself into a shoot.. I hate to use that term but are you serious? Yes they need to stop using the term revolution and just book the women like they book the men.

but when they do that, yall say Becky is tooo mean on twitter or Rousey is actually fed up and ready to snap for real.. Why cant they all be in on it like every other fake shoot wrestling feud?
This ain't about working yourself into a shoot, this is about using cheap tactics to sell a feud because they're desperate for media buzz. Triple H looked just as pathetic with his ridiculous "shoot" promo that accomplished nothing, hell he even looked uncomfortable after he dropped the mic. I'm fully expecting one of the women to bring up Charlotte dating Andrade at some point.

I meant creatively wise but aight, "fumbled" was the wrong word. Rock vs Austin on TV was filled with dumb soap opera shyt that was not needed.

I thought the build and execution was amazing, I was hooked, yea they didnt need the sable bs but I was able to overlook that cause the promos were fire and then you had that jr interview.. so while it wasnt "perfect" it was more good than bad... thats why i cant say they fukked it up or anything

:patrice: great point, while I think times have changed, and everyone know tv is a work, you still make a great point about them not beiing able to create new fans.
the cena experiment wasnt a failure but it didnt really work the way they wanted to, either did roman. they need a guy thats pg but also respectable to the 15-35 year old demo..

They are desperate for buzz, i cant deny that. But I wouldnt say whats going on is bad, its the only way to trick the internet know it all audience.

So what's Ronda gonna say when she loses? That she didn't really lose and that the fake script had her lose? And if it was a real fight she would've destroyed them? How the fukk does that put Becky over? This is in the running for the worst booked feud in wwe history :mjlol:

At first I thought there’s no way in hell anybody but Ronda walks out of Mania as champ but now I’m not so sure. Assuming the sheets report that Fox wants to make WWE more “sports-oriented” and realistic is accurate, the emphasis WWE is putting on the realness lately might be their way of trying to appeal to Fox.

I can definitely see WWE having one of their own go over the one who called it “fake” to “legitimize” the business.

And yes I know that doesn’t make sense at all I’m just saying I can see WWE thinking that way :pachaha:

^ These are the questions I ask. If its acknowledged as fake within storyline, what am I supposed to be invested in? Why does this belt matter? What is Ronda even doing there participating in this? Is she "on set" and she's going to beat up these playfighters for their pretend belt? Okay. If she loses, then what does that mean? Did they break the script? Are we back on script on Raw the next night and everything is back in order?
