Who didn't see this coming. Mitt had to appeal to the far right section of the party to get the nomination. Now that he has the nomination he doesn't have to appeal to the Rush/Hannity/religious nuts side of the party because he already has their vote in the general election. All they care about is getting Obama out of there and though Mitt might now of been their ideal candidate during the primaries, he is the ideal candidate now because he's going against Obama. He has their vote it doesn't matter what he says now, he go back to being socially in the center. He is aiming for that undecided and fringe democrat voter. Obama fukked up big time by that pathetic debate performance, he had his foot on Romney's neck and he let up. People can bring up how Romney is a flip flopper and this that the other, the issue is most Americans still debating on who to vote for are fukking morons. The same ones that are still debating or aren't sure in their choice of Obama are the same ones that voted Bush in because he seemed like the type of guy that you could drink a beer with and watch a football game with.
Remember what mike Tyson said about Don King right?
"He a wretched, slimy, reptilian motherfukker. This is supposed to be my 'brother' right? He's just a bad man, a real bad man. He would kill his own mother for a dollar. He's ruthless, he's deplorable, he's greedy, and he doesn't know how to love anybody."
this is typical of romney, and one of the reasons that even his "fantastic" debate performance hasn't pushed him over the hump. this only hurts romney.
Its funny that you dudes are all shocked by Romney's pivot to the middle. In Repub primaries the candidate that wins has to present himself as some sort of hardline elusional arch-conservative but that shyt won't win a general election. Its the same thing that Obama did in the Dem primary by setting himself as being far more liberal than he actually was but then making a beeline to the middle once he got the nomination from Hillary.
Extremists win primaries, moderates win general elections. That is US politics.
