I like Cuaron’s movies and usually like these highbrow art movies but I had hard time getting through this one. It’s beautifully shot and deserves an Oscar for cinematography. The lead actress was block of wood.

Cuaron seems poised to take the Oscar for best director which means no Oscar for s black director. :mjcry:

pretentious as hell, simply not entertaining to me.

shyt is a snooze fest. Wacthed the first 45 mins and shyt was dull as fukk. Turned it off
Turned it off after the forest fire.

PRETENTIOUS as fukk. Almost felt like it was pandering to movie critics.

I thought people in TFR appreciated beautiful filmmaking.
It is a beautiful looking movie (although I would've preferred more black and white contrast rather than shades of grey photography) but that alone does not make a great film. And I think the film is good, but lacks somewhat of a heart and soul to it.
