I still can’t believe we let Slay go and then draft a bum ass replacement in the 1st round.

Not only that, a guy the GM said he analyzed and watched more tape of than any player in his career as a talent evaluator.

Lions have always had talent/depth issues but as a fan nothing is worse than watching the few talented/elite players we did have get discarded or lost. Slay, Suh, Megatron, Stafford, Diggs, Ziggy…there was enough talent here to win something. Not just be good, make the playoffs and lose to the Cowboys. I’ll forever believe that if we drafted Aaron Donald that team would have won the division and at least one playoff game.

Turned down pairing Suh and Donald, with Nick Fairley as the backup. Madness.

play calling looks terrible too. I get trying to play ball control offense and not get the. opposing team extra opportunities but for fukks sake can we be a little more aggressive. He used to do it in LA. Not all the time but it would happen. The thing is he needs to be spoon fed when to do it and if Campbell has taken over play calling he needs to explicitly say tell Goff the coverage and what to do the way McVay used to and the way it seemed Lynn would when we had Cephus outside.

That third down play was a perfect example of how trash Goff is. Forces a throw to Raymond, who was covered, while Brown was wide open behind him six yards up the field.

Remember, even by the end, McVay couldn't do anything with Goff.
