What quality replacement do you have in mind? These guys are backups and third stringers for a reason, just like the guys who they could have had instead.

Why are you guys acting surprised this team is dogshyt? Some of you are being completely irrational this season and it makes no sense. :heh:
If you a backup on the worst team in the NFL your next stop is the AFL. Nobody want you.

They need to call Colin Kaepernick. He'd probably say no.

With Houston winning #1 pick highly probable

Kayvon Thibodeux been so so this year. Not clear cut #1. Can see Pickett shooting up draft board. Seems like he’s passed up Willis in later part of college season. Think they will reach for QB though. Can’t go into next season with Goff and no QB waiting in wing. I would honestly pick best player. Position or not I’d just pick Kyle Hamilton. Will Harris alone has cost Lions a couple games this year. Walker and Hamilton duo would be great

Im watching Colt McCoy win at Seattle and that’s after beating SF already. Signing Tim Boyle to be the backup wasn’t even trying

You think colt McCoy was coming to Detroit when Arizona is on the table. And what do you thinking colt McCoy would look like with this rag tag bunch
Exactly. This is the worst team in the league. You getting bottom feeders that would otherwise be out of the NFL to come here and that's it.

Reaching for a QB with the top pick is stupid, especially for a team devoid of talent. Are we rebuilding or what fellas. Take the best player available, which will almost certainly be Thibodeaux. Rams pick could then be a WR. You come out the first round with two clear starters who make your team much better.

Next year if there's a QB you like, you have two first round picks you can package to get him. Or if the team is bad enough you can just take him without a trade, of course.

Goff is terrible but I'd rather see what he can do with an actual NFL offense (receivers, more than one TE, plus our run game which I like) than reaching on a QB in an awful class.

It depends, Arizona without Murray and Hopkins isn’t that much better than what’s here. What they do have is a competent coach. Now Dan Campbell is learning on two jobs and is the worst at both, so I guess Colt would be worse here. Still, Holmes had a pick that he sent to Denver for a practice squad WR, he couldn’t have used that 5th on a better option than Tim Boyle? Jets did.

I'm calling it now y'all beating the bears on Thursday :yeshrug:

We’ve lost to every gutted team we’ve played so far, Fields playing would’ve given us a better chance. Dalton will have an a average game and win.

Clearly you have not watched any Arizona games.

if the lions traded a pick for joe Flacco who ain’t bout to win NOBODY a damn game then what would be the point. There is zero upside to that. I rather see swift have his best 2 games as a pro then a old ass nobody qb throw for 200 yards and we still lose. You just seem aggy for no reason fam. The lions stink. We all should’ve known this was at max a 3 win team this season.

A coach worthy of spearheading a rebuild would have at least 2 wins already. A rebuild can’t start without competence from the top. And AJ Green and Zach Ertz are fukking cooked and they don’t use Rondale. Swift and Hock would be better than what they had yesterday. Only they have a coach that can call plays professionally.

Detroit has the worst WR core in the league. Colt fukking McCoy would look like a bum here. Granted the Lions had a plan at WR (Perriman and Williams), it just turned to shyt. While I don’t care about losing, this situation has made it impossible to truly measure Goff. I think he’s trash but we know he’s a competent QB with decent weapons. But him being bad and not having WRs has resulted in Hock regressing.
