Who’s the cat who said he was tired of Jim Caldwells mediocrity?

That had to be one of the worst performances I’ve ever witnessed.

Time to up that thread. I know who you're talking about and I told him he was fukking crazy. He was mad at one and done in the playoffs as if the Lions have some sort of winning tradition. Now look at them. Caldwell I'm sure is laughing his ass off but he gotta be bitter right now.

You forget they were 4-37 for a stretch between 2007-2009?

Does this roster even have five guys who would get regular playing time anywhere else in the league? Off top, I could only see Swift, Williams, Hock, Jacobs and Walker getting regular reps on another team.

Why are you guys acting surprised when the front office already said they're doing a complete tear down and rebuild? It's not supposed to be fun. No coach is coming in here and waving a magic wand.

They fired Millen and cleaned house after 2008, though. It was over and we all knew it was over. The only other time it was close to this was when Marty was the coach 20 years ago and that was better than this too. We all knew Marty was not a head coach 8 games in. Why waste any more years of our lives with Campbell? We made a fukked up hire and passed on much more capable. There isn’t a chance in the world he can come back and succeed after 0-17.

Only gripe with Campbell right now is his decisions to go for it on 4th downs instead of kicking FGs.

Roster was devoid of talent to begin with but then add all the injuries on top of it. I can’t evaluate the coaching staff with what they have been given. Lions should be 1-7. Refs literally took Baltimore game from them

Lions are a terrible team but if they go 0-17 it’s because of all the injuries. Not coaching

Goff whole demeanor right now reminds me of Cutler towards the end of his run. He’s just out there collecting a check

I still think going 0-17 is a good thing, in order to get the best pick. And I’m not taking much of anything serious this year BUT I will say this coach ain’t it. We’re bad now so it doesn’t matter but…he’s clearly not qualified. And Holmes should be able to pick his own coach. This guy was picked by ownership. If Holmes continues to draft well he should get his own guy in a couple years when it’s potentially time to win.

Campbell I'm not fully sold on but I've seen enough of how he carries himself to say let him be. He couldn't salvage this. At times he's gotten more out of the squad than I would have expected. He almost beat a few good teams needing last second field goals to lose.

Holmes I'm more or less sold on in the short to medium term.

Both need a few years for a proper evaluation. One thing is for sure Goff should go. No QB worth his salt throws away the ball on 4th down in back to back games.

At least Fat Matt had the Patriots game with Kerryon running for 100 as a proof of concept. Campbell took a shyt on the winnable games so far. I think there’s some truth to it but I’m sure they have no line to Shelia or Spielman

They win the Ravens game if the refs do their job and call delay of game. The Vikings game was another miracle finish.

You can't with a straight face say anybody is winning games with this heinous roster. Like I said before, name more than five players who would get regular playing time ANYWHERE else in the league right now.
