The one good thing I can say about the Lions is that it does appear that the culture has changed. They do fight to the end. I agree that they are a #1 WR from being potentially great on offense.

But their defense is so void of talent... no amount of fight can overcome that.

Absolutely no idea. He was so bad last year, added with Patricia's scheme being God awful, then tacking on a Achilles on top of that this year, and whatever his potential was before is no longer the case. It's sad, really.

True but if we’re competitive with the lack of talent free agents ain’t coming here for anything but the bag.
If we compete it’s easier to sell culture change and a need to increase talent

I think drafting well is the only key
Get a stand out wide receiver, plug a few holes that the defense has for the next two years and find a young quarterback within the next three years

They need to atleast win one game for Campbells sake. 0-17 is rough even for 1st year of rebuild

Lions are the least talented team in NFL before the injuries. Now

#1 could be lock

Too bad this draft is so-so. Thibodeuex seems to be consensus top prospect so far but he doesn’t measure up to previous #1 pass rushers like a Myles Garrett. Hamilton probably best prospect but he’s a safety. They shouldn’t draft another corner that high and Stingley hurt and out rest of year

but I’m waiting for the Burrow/Wilson like QB prospect to come out of no where to be top pick. Willis has the hype now but sure someone else will rise

we need to go heavy on D like Dallas did and bring in a free agent wr but I agree the draft is key

I’m not defending him but we’ve seen him be a game manager with talent around him. He’s throwing to the worst trio of wr’s in the league. Maybe we chill until next year on all these assessments.

with that said, will this team compete with legit wr’s and corners? I think so, we should be decent with the right pick ups next season.
