Okay, how will not voting advance Black people's agenda?

in spite of the unwavering support black people have shown them for over half a century, democrats have demonstrated an unwillingness to address our specific grievances.

not just by neglect, they have actively dismissed our concerns.

because of this, it stands to reason that the only way democrats will be forced to bend the knee is for the black community to use the power of its vote. power only acknowledges power; democrats need to be buck broken.

there aren’t enough latinos, asians or white democrats to offset the loss of our vote. polls already bear this out. this is the only one way to gain a sincere audience from the democratic party.

we’ve tried the alternative, and it has led us nowhere.

And those primaries are under the control of the party. They do not allow anybody who will deviate from their large-scale plans to get anywhere near victory. They gave the game away in 2016.

In the 2016 presidential primary, every single county in West Virginia voted for Bernie Sanders. Every single one. And then, at the convention, 100% of West Virginia's delegates were awarded to.... Hillary Clinton.

So the people of West Virginia asked, "Hey, wait a minute, we voted for this person... and you basically switched our vote to this other person, effectively. Isn't that illegal or something?"

And the Democratic party replied, "fukk you. We have the right to do that."

And then she lost to Trump. :dead:

Those "unpledged delegates" fukked him over. Got her winning by 1 point.

As I said before, DNC robbed Sanders. But that's another thread.

Prior to 2015, what specific grievances did the Dems ignore? From 1968 - 2015, what specific grievances or policies did we present to the Dems that they ignored?

This really deserves its own thread - here's something else that Black people can legit complain about with Dems.

So this company IFF is trying to break the Black union workers at this Memphis, TN plant. Where is the Dem support? Why aren't Dem politicians putting awareness on this? Local, state, or federal. This is something that Kamala Harris could speak on.

This is where the Dems are screwing up, one of several.

Democrats would try to bring in immigrants

democrats dont need black votes to win. They'll just pivot to the right to peel off republicans an independents.

But hey, this is your plan.

You just admitted a major reason they shouldn't be supported. :deadrose:

it’s not even true, and voting data attests to how wrong he is.

in the states that matter, democrats can’t win without the black vote, but they can win without the white vote, a majority of which they haven’t won since the civil rights act passed; and the asian vote, since their population is so small as to make them statistically irrelevant; and the latino vote, many of them voting alongside whites for republicans.

black people are the core base of the democratic party. which makes their dismissive treatment of our issues all the more appalling.

you’re becoming unhinged, breh. you’re seriously accusing black people who aren’t with the democrat okie doke of being undercover nazis?

:mjtf:

No, if its your PERSONAL opinion of why you don't like Democrats, fine. Live your life.

If you telling OTHER black folks not to vote or convincing them not to vote, and shun them and call them all kinds of names like "Dem Schills" and so on, that is a form of intimidation and shaming. That is a federal crime, and yeah, those GOP fukks will still throw you in jail for doing they job for them.

I do say time and again, that a lot of Dem Candidates are shytty. But this race in Louisiana had an actual breh that was articulate and was endorsed by Gary Chambers, and the ball was dropped because somehow, voting withdrawals is a more effective strategy than ECONOMIC protest. :smh:

Wtf was going through this dude mind when he did this
You gotta understand the mind of black liberals during 2016

Nikkas were still in the Obama haze and saw Hilary as a continuation of adjacent job opportunities. Roland in particular bet the house on riding Hilary's coattails to a come up. If I recall he was trying to finesse a press secretary position:russ:

It's also just another example of what's par for the course when it comes to the Black/Democrat relationship. When Dems come around black people the dancing, church visits, and fish fries are inevitable

a lot of black people want to be the child to the dominant society’s zaddy, doing just the bare minimum, which entails participating in the biannual ceremony of voting and waiting for what few crumbs might occasionally fall from the plate of massa.

that’s one of the main reasons the “don’t vote” crowd angers them so much.

voting and biding your time for change that never comes is easy. putting your feet to the ground and taking a stand that requires sacrifice is hard.
