Also, is Davey still heel? Does anyone even care what Kyle O'Reilly is?

Davey is at least supposed to be face now. Who knows what he was before. O'Reilly is full blown heel and I guess Steen (though you wouldn't know it) is full blown heel. Cornette is a face somehow... this shyt might just really be inception booking. But ANX as tag champs is a good look

Yeah, it's about time. I hated the way that they did all of that though. Why couldn't they just win the damn belts clean?

so was this show worth it?

Apparently no one paid because ROH fukked up. I had alot of help from Wolf finding a stream (big shout out to that boi Wolf211) but the ROH site supposedly gave it for free on their site according to some.

Good show though. The main event was overbooked goodness. And whatever happened to Adam Cole was said to got over HUGE. Im still waiting to see that part

Most of the matches on the show were at least in the 3 star territory I thought.

The low point of the night was the opener where The Briscoes faced Truth Martini's mystery tag team. I guess the masked guys were actually The Headbangers, which is strange, and sounds like something LeightonMeester would fantasy book.

They rebounded nicely with Homicide vs. Edwards though. It was probably the best singles match Homicide has had in years. Both guys are very over in NYC so that helped a lot.

Cole vs. O'Reilly started off pretty standard, but Cole's epic blood loss and the ensuing crowd reaction kicked it up a few notches. It was a crazy spectacle, and it felt like Cole really solidified himself as a future main eventer with his performance.

The match between Finlay and Elgin was slow and plodding at times, so some people were shytting on it. I never lost interest though, and I wouldn't say it was anywhere near bad.

Bennett vs. Mondo just seemed kind of pointless and thrown together, but Mondo threatening to fukk Maria was hilarious. I'm not opposed to a Mike Mondo push either, because he's a fairly underrated worker who's never gotten much of a chance.

The Strong/Lethal/Ciampa TV title match had a lot of good action. I was glad they didn't follow the WWE formula of having one guy resting on the floor for most of the match.

WGTT vs. ANX was a solid brawl. Everyone was strongly behind King/Titus, and the heat Charlie Haas was getting was great. ANX finally getting the titles was a nice feel good moment.

I loved Steen vs. Richards, and thought it was one of the best matches of 2012. It was a train wreck in the best way possible. Very reminiscent of an ECW main event. Steen's post match promo where he put Davey over as the best in the world, and proceeded to tell the fans to go fukk themselves was a thing of beauty to me. Turning on the audience before they got a chance to turn on him is the perfect way for Steen to keep his edge.

Overall, I feel there was a good amount of stuff on this show that would be worth going out of your way to see.

Kevin Steen ROH Best In The World 2012 Promo - YouTube

The whole promo was Steen manipulating the bizarre nature of ROH fans. Scolding them is what he needed to do in order to keep getting the top babyface reactions in the company.

If they kept running with that man of the people schtick, his fans would have eventually turned on him.

Steen is a fukking joke. A fat shmuck who is a God to losers because he curses. He actually brings ROH down, the champ should be a future of the business kind of guy, not a geeks wet dream. But I been down on ROH for a while, so almost nothing would bring me back at this point, I really think Cornette done killed it.

If he wanted to be a real heel, he's just shut the fukk up. Seems like no matter what the shmucks eat up what he says, and his mic work always gets him over, so be a heel and don't give the fans what they want.

The walked away from the norm. Steen isnt supposed to be the guy you like, Davey is. Putting the belt on Steen with the way he's been running over everyone in ROH will get someone (most likely Adam Cole) over huge when he beats him. Honestly the big picture isnt Steen its the NEXT guy. Take a step back and look at the whole picture.
