Lil Baby, Durk, Polo G and Youngboy are the big 4 of this generation all of em are street rappers.

I wouldn't say Polo G is a traditional street rapper, Uzi either.

I also don't feel that Polo G is as big as those guys (hes a plant) but that's a discussion for another time. I do like Polo tho

Polo is 100% a street rapper.

Uzi just hides it with the rock star shyt but he’s affiliated and raps about it. Lil Tjay sing songy as hell but he disses opps and deads on the low.

In this era even suburbanites like Juice WRLD dropped rakes and was rolling with BD/NLMB and had certain bars about guns and shyt like that.

I don't think all of these things make you a street rapper though.

I don't think just because your affiliated with gangs and you have a few bars here and there about guns and drugs you're a street rapper. If that's the case then that makes Drake, Kendrick and Tory Lanez street rappers.

Drake and Kendrick nah…

Drake uses a mob boss type persona where he can rap about having dudes around him and that bag while Kendrick is a “project window” type rapper.

When Tory is doing his NY/Philly imitation raps yeah he’s a street rapper but overall he’s more than that as an artist.

Polo is a street rapper because his music is all about the streets. His deads, being a gang member, self medicating with drugs due to the lifestyle, the rags to riches, tries to explain the circumstances, his shyt is all pain in poetic raps and melodies.

But that’s the basis of his argument.

Y’all nikkas are weird…
:dahell:

He did speak on the issue at hand but Roddy being rich is apart of the story and it’s really why the other dude has an issue with him
Yeah, I don't know why they so focused on him bringing up money like there wasn't a whole back and forth before that. The first thing Roddy did when he hopped on the phone was address the issue but when he realized the nikka was just on some petty hating shyt talkin about a "3 second put on," he decided to boss up on him. You can't reason with people that are dedicated to misunderstanding you.

I’d put Uzi in there too, but I agree with you. My thing is longevity. I want to see how long they last. I fukk with all them though, except Youngboy (even though I think he’s EXTREMELY talented)

Durk has been in the game for a decade, Youngboy and Baby are already 4 years deep :yeshrug:

How is Wack involved in every one of these things?

he gotta be getting paid by clubhouse, or have some kind of stake in it. or he working with the feds to get these "street dudes" and "gangbangers" to spill their business freely in a documented and recorded setting

could be both #civilianlife

Perhaps because their criminal personas were secondary to their financial goals.

For rappers who are selling gang banging as a persona, to have their "card pulled" is literally getting in the way of their credibility, which they are selling.

Unless you're an artist like Rick Ross who is, without a doubt, lying about their persona - its a balancing act.

i mean the homies from Carol City told him they'll fukk that lil money he got up 3 or 4 times, but they never questioned his authenticity at the end of the day. Because they know he is who he says he is, ya underdig? as real men we gon have to let time show who the real bosses are, who got the most houses, businesses, and cars, ya underdig? Real Triple C shyt, but lemme get to the bathroom real quick and take this jacket off. BRB
