The crazy think about this is that in Roddy situation this ain't even true. This is literally ONE nikka with an issue. He went on Clubhouse saying Roddy false flagging, and specific nikkas don't fukk with him. He DID NOT expect Wack to come in and say "I'm bout to bring in Roddy now" which is why his energy changed.

Roddy is connected with all them nikkas Yah was saying don't fukk with him, and even random nikkas from the Village was calling in saying Roddy been taking care of nikkas. At the end of the call one of HIS OGs Pappy was confused as fukk of why Yah was tripping, knowing damn well he been working with Roddy on a food program RIGHT IN THE BACK OF THEY PROJECTS.

This shyt was just jealousy at it's worst.

I'm not familiar with Roddy's history but it's the age-old convo in our culture: it's okay to be from somewhere but not be Super Thug...

It transcends banging though, if Kendrick came out saying he was a stepper even without identifying with a set, we'd seen that called out. We know this is true because in various other places where gangbang politics isn't as imbedded in the culture, we've seen rappers who portray themselves as street heavyweights get checked. So it ain't about whether you claim the click or not, that's specific to Roddy...

But alot of these rappers are the same I'm my book. Don't matter how many of em we see who throw around that imagery, with most of em you can sense if they cut like or not by watching and listening to them talk. I've never really known anything about Roddy but I wouldn't be surprised if he was just a regular guy who grew up there, then once he started popping with the music he started publicly affiliating. Alot of these types, not specific to him, aren't looking for those issues beforehand...

And I guess my personal take is jaded somewhat; I've shared this in the past, that like all of us, I know or have known guys from around the way who rapped, that I either grew up with or knew at some point for some reason, and a grip of them were not rapping that shyt from a firsthand account. I knew cats who were living their rap accounts based on others actual lives, I knew one dude personally who based his persona off association to me (and others he knew). So I don't believe most of these nikkas anywsy...
