Not ordinary, but Tommy Hearns and people like that would beat him. I could see him beating Duran. idk if he would for sure, but Floyd wouldn't be undefeated in that era.

he actually called the lightweights a division that doesn't get recognition :bryan:...he had nothing to say when I disproved that quite easily...skip real talk breh.. I got like 600 gigs of fights laying around somewhere....you hit me off with some bread and ill send you an external hd so you can be more in tune with lightweight eras of the 80s and 90s
I thought I was doing it big with 200 gigs of fights. Is there even a semi-notable fight you're missing

He wouldn't have been ordinary. That's an absurd statement. When someone is undefeated, it's hard to tell them shyt. Floyd would of had some fun competition during that era..that's about as much as you say. Someone with Hearns' height though should be problematic for him.

Though you can't always rely on punch stats, I remember watching the fight live thinking, "Man, Floyd lost this shyt". They show the punch stats and I'm like :ohhh: Floyd landed 157 punches, 99 of them jabs (which led me to believe his hand was still hurt). Castillo lands 173 power punches to Floyd's 67 I think. Then the scorecards come out and I'm like :childplease:. I have no doubt Arum pulled some strings as Floyd "then" was his cash cow in the making. Floyd indeed was hurt in that fight and he beat Castillo with rather ease in the rematch, but Floyd got a gift in the 1st fight. Not a blowout by any means by Castillo, but seeing the fight several times myself I still give it to Castillo 7 rounds to 5.

I don't get it. Even upon first viewing, I can tell Floyd won the fight. He got hit more than he usually did but being concise and paying attention, how can anyone say that boy won that fight against Mayweather? LOL.

Being unbiased then and now, I still see the fight the same way. Again, it wasn't a blow out on either side, but I think there's different views on the fight and or how one judges a fight this close. To me, I didn't see either guy dominate a round more than who won swing rounds, and to me Castillo won those rounds (i.e. 7th as an example of how some of the rounds went). I think some saw Castillo not hit Floyd flush and saw Floyd land lead rights that hit Castillo flush. But what I and many others saw was Castillo cutting off the ring on Floyd where he had to stay busy, but Castillo threw in volumes and he was able to land shots on Floyd to the body and upstairs during exchanges. There weren't a lot of punches Castillo landed that threw Floyd's head back, but he was consistent and didn't seem to give Floyd many breaks. I saw the fight as a close fight that Castillo IMO won. Personally, I don't understand how on the opposite side of the fence people call it a clear / decisive win by Floyd. As I mentioned before, punch stats don't always dictate the outcome of a fight if it's really close, but it's clear Castillo out threw and out landed Floyd...and Castillo was the Champion :mindblown:

Im just saying... Punch stats need to get thrown in the bushes.

Fights are won by rounds not by how many punches someone lands, someone can land most of there punches in one round... You guys following me...
