If I am to accept your premise then it would mean the article is false then? :rudy:

If you believe the article to be true then...It means in America MOST people are paid based on merits.

Now we can argue on dollar values later but underlining principle does not change.

I don't know why I tried :wow:

So what's your suggestion?

Force private industries to set an imaginary pay for workers based on this?
what should we use as a benchmark for the "deserved" pay? And who will enforce it?

I don't care about "deserved" pay, just fair wages.

Workers are more productive than ever, but there is still a huge income inequality and there's no rhyme & reason why its that way.

Profits are at an all time high. We can only say its corporate greed.

But surely there has to be an entity who determines what's fair if I'm to go with your suggestion?

The government?
Or the business owner using his money to run his company?

Isnt this chris b guy in every thread preaching his Christian bullshyt? How can you even begin to reconcile those beliefs with these extreme freemarket views on wage inequality? How about some consistency?

Mark 12:17
Then Jesus said to them, "Give back to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's." And they were amazed at him.

I think Switzerland and Singapore got it right by instituting strong public safety nets and rejecting a minimum wage altogether. :manny:

No number will satisfy everyone.

but they're based on socialistic models so I don't see how it wouldn't relate to non-objective terms like "fair" when their economic situation is prevalent due to a highly subsidized market.
