Look breh.....Kobe great...I'm not going to nor will I ever deny that. But I do know that a bit of this is additionally comin from Kobe just retiring and nba nikkas bein a bit sentimental. Whenever a perennial player retires there is a rose colored glass approach to remembering that great.....:manny:

When magic caught the bug many were touting him crazy.....it's just and it's normal but it's also reactionary. Kobe just left the league and many players watched how the league just gave itself to Bron and almost neglected the mamba til he won again with Gasol years later....LeBron being league darling has gotten him no props from any peers, trust.....so when I see so many robotically just sayin Kobe Kobe Kobe ....it's apparent to me that emotion is as much apart of there opinions as is fact. Kobe is damn near best to do it for my generation ....but him just retiring has a lot to do with the sentiment at large. Just sayin:francis:

And no....Kobe is not better than Kareem:rudy:

And he is not BETTER than Bron as it stands now....AND BRON IS STILL PLAYING:umad:

kobe is clearly better then lebron

My opinion says different....Bron is dominant both sides of the court is a better play maker and can guard 1-5

I'll buy Kobe is a better scorer/offensive player than Bron tho:yeshrug:

only all-star teammate I remember t-mac having, was a guy who didn't even play half the time, and most of his all-star appearances came via fan votes from another continent.

how was t-mac not more skilled when he could take over a game better than kobe without icing his teammates? and he could do everything kobe could, while being bigger & more athletic. kobe was more dedicated & determined. only thing he actually did better than t-mac was play defense, which falls under that category.

why isn't Marbury listed as a top 10 PG? why aren't kemp & amare seen as top 10 PFs?
if its just about skill, then we're free to put penny & grant hill on our goat lists, right? derrick rose gotta be somewhere in there too. who cares if they got hurt?

t-mac could not take over a game better then kobe what are u talking about

he is not better on both sides of the floor his defense is overrated and hes not a better offensive player. he can guard 4's and 5's who arent scorers but he cant guard the good 4's and 5

You're basin that off of this last playoffs I hope....because Bron THROUGHOUT his career has been great defensively....that can't really be debated. And his d is CERTAINLY better than Kobe's....LBJ can literally keep 1's 2's and 3's from entering the paint.....Kobe could never shut down offenses like that. And Bron is superior on offense whether you like the style or not, he's good for 25+ a night.....gonna get you 8-10 bounds and assists that's a gimme......

Who said anything about measurements. We talking pure basketball skill. Obviously Kareem has the better resume. Hell Kareem has arguably a better resume than Jordan. But Kareem ain't considered the GOAT cause he wasn't dominant like Jordan. And for that same reason he ain't better than Kobe.

Kobe is simply better at playing basketball than Kareem. All you have to do is watch them play.
You're not even making an argument, you're just saying you like Kobe better.

Kareem was the more effective offensive player. Kareem was a better defender. Kareem had way more success and accolades.

There really is no argument to suggest Kobe had a better career

So your entire argument comes down to sentiment? If so, then why isn't Tim Duncan getting any of that as well? Didn't he technically retire after Kobe? Going by your logic, he should be getting even more sentimental love than Kobe since his retirement was more recent. Why isn't Robert Horry running around saying he's also top 3 if its simply sentiment? If anything, Horry has been shytting on Duncan by saying Hakeem (a guy who retired 17 years ago) is 20x better.

You nikkas are so pathetic trying to reach for conspiracy theories to explain away something that doesn't connect with your preconceived notion. Look bruh. Guys like Robert Horry aren't just saying Kobe is top 3 all-time willy nilly. Neither are contemporaries like Kevin Durant and Dwyane Wade. They are not saying this to make Kobe feel good. Or his fans. They are telling us their opinions. And for the record, when Wade and Durant said Kobe was #2 all-time after Jordan, Kobe was not retired or in the process of retiring. It was in the 2014 season when he was making his come back from the achilles surgery. This was still focused Mamba that was still trying to show he was the best. This wasn't the sentimental Mamba of his final season. You can check the dates right here if you don't believe me:

Dwyane Wade calls Kobe Bryant the 'second best' player in NBA history

Kevin Durant: Kobe Bryant is 'the greatest of all time,' Kobe and Michael Jordan '1 and 1A'

So now what is your argument? Were Wade and Durant saying Kobe is the best or second best player EVER in 2014 cause they knew he was retiring in 2016?

Fukk outta here with these conspiracy theories. Why not just face the facts that according to his peers Kobe's the best or second best player of all-time.

Who said Kobe had a better career than Kareem? All I said he's the better player. Very big difference between who had a better career versus who is the better player.

And FYI didn't I say you couldn't talk about basketball anymore white boy? Why don't you stick to sports your people are represented like hockey.
