but here is the real problem with what vic is saying and this whole notion of hip hop is just music

1) its funny he posted that video of that conservative rap because that is the perfect exhibit as to why its a mistake to say hip hop is just music, under the hip hop is just music definition those guys are definitely hip hop, using that definition anybody can exploit the culture and that is exactly what's happened, that is why real hip hop heads never go around saying hip hop is just music or make rap music the defining characteristic of hip hop

2) nowadays hip hop music is one of the defining aspects of black culture , so there is a method to the madness of trying to accentuate the knowledge element of hip hop

but notice how vic tried to create a dichotomy between hip hop and a professor at Cambridge and MIT and he tried to mock me trying to align hip hop with high academic achievement

so in other words he is trying to emphasize that rap, which is a very important part of black culture, has nothing to do with high academic achievement, what message is going to kids by people doing that???

so on those 2 points its clear how pernicious the concept of hip hop is just music is and its clear who is actually pro hip hop and pro black

the question vic needs to ask himself is, are you really hip hop or are you just a guy that "raps pretty well", it sounds to me that you're just a guy that raps pretty well, so forgive me for dismissing your definition of hip hop and you got a lot of nerve suggesting that i hold positions or make statements antithetical to hip hop

I scoffed at your silly implication that knowledge in itself makes someone hip-hop, as you defined yourself as being hip-hop for supposedly focusing on knowledge. I did not state or imply that high academic achievement was in any way antithetical to or disparate from hip-hop. Just like I didn't state or imply hip-hop is inherently marxist or leftist. Your general lack reasoning ability is why it's a moot point to argue with you. Quite frankly, I consider you and your views on this to be a joke. but again, im using the krs definition of hip hop, maybe its my bad for not emphasizing that, i was speaking of knowledge in the hip hop sense (not in the general sense), in the hip hop sense knowledge by itself makes you hip hop, and it follows from that that pursuing the knowledge element of hip hop puts you in the same universe as a professor at cambridge or MIT, that is why your analogy is in terms of hip hop, a true hip hop head would not try to create any dichotomy between the knowledge element and a professor at a university

It's pretty surreal to see this name posted on the coli cuz my mom was one of his caretakers, last thing she did was bathe him. Never liked the fact that my mom worked for somebody like this but I did community service for C.Delores Tucker so who am I to judge? I never met Judge Bork but I met Mrs. Bork, she was nice I guess but she gave me a salty look when I told her I was a college dropout. Out of respect for the dead tho, I won't speak on the man like that. RIP, thanks for helping my family out.
