When someone hangs themselves there has to be evidence of a “set up” to actually perform it.
You need an apparatus to give yourself enough height to assess how much slack and length to give on the rope..basically, a chair, a ladder or a step stool. If that’s no available..you should start questioning a “suicide” attempt. You can also climb the tree and hope your weight can be supported by the limbs enough to make your calculations to then drop off..there’s physical signs on the body that can determine if this is the case..enough sudden pressure on the neck tends to make certain blood vessels bust plus there’s usually a release of the bowels and bladder.
You can also kill the person off site and then transport the body to hang the body post mortem.
