What if he’s just trying to become the new trump? Trump drove a lot of traffic to Twitter. That’s exactly what Elon is doing, where one outrageous incident or bit of news has everyone tuned in just to see what that zany guy does next. We live in a society where everything is commodified, where the cult of the individual in itself is packaged for the consumer.

That's all good but how can he monetize it? He alienated many advertisers lol.

I mean don't get me wrong, fukk him. But that bird app has wrought so much degeneracy, fukkery and bullshyt on this generation :wow:
Gender wars :dame:
Black men vs Black women :martin:
Internet ass acronyms and identities :camby:

If it took a piece of shyt like him, to ruin an even bigger piece of shyt like Twitter, then so be it.

You're mad dumb off the strength of the news, both local, national and international was fed through Twitter.

The George Floyd case largely got national and then global attention through Twitter.
The trending algorithm is literally pressure personified and has been key in helping galvanize movements.

Entire industries use Twitter as a baseline exporter of product(arts and media).

Just because YOU keep looking at or being shown nonsense doesn't mean the app needs to be burnt down.

For all the negatives Twitter provided the positives heavily outweighed

How different would things go if Twitter wasn't around to make a knee from a cop on Floyd's neck go viral? I'm sure there's several governments and agencies across the globe that on ground reporting through Twitter helped shed light on and hold people accountable

Negatives will always be around and you'll just find them in the things left. Twitter was a cesspool but its value was up to the second news and the others can't replicate that. Another Twitter will come

Maybe it's 🧢 but he was just tweeting how twitter experienced an all time high in usage stats
If dude figures out a way to fire the majority of employees while still keeping the app operational and getting the numbers up with outrage :patrice:
