I hate that I like a few of Berner's tracks, dude is so lazy and uninspired as a rap artist....He is clearly influenced by 90's and 2000's rap, which isn't a bad thing as many of his tracks are merely half baked reworkings of better songs, like Beanie Sigel 'Feel It in the Air', or Jay-Z 'A Week Ago'....

Anybody heard that Jacka posthemous album 50 states? It's pretty good, but some of them tracks sound like unreleased throwaways.

Whole exchange made my head hurt, Tommy occasionally brings up good points but he's way off here. Him being a fan of Tupac himself should realize that all rappers aren't the same and aren't just one dimensional gangster rappers promoting negativity. The same way he'd get upset if some old white man called Pac an ignorant thug promoting violence is basically the same sh1t he's going now, he's the old white man in this argument that just thinks all hiphop is bad (WHEN TOMMY HIMSELF IS A FAN OF HIPHOP AND USED TO BE A RAPPER)

The only real info i got out of this convo was that apparently Jacka was in someone elses hood and those people had beef with some dudes that shot at them. Jacka was apparently 2 blocks away when a stray hit him in the head.

I didn't know Tommy used to be a rapper. I know Tariq Nasheed used to be a rapper, and he surprisingly wasn't bad. Tariq was nice with the double time midwest, Bone, Chicago fast rap type flow.

I used to feel this way. But in reality, I appreciate the Fucc out of Berner and his in house studio guy Cozmo. Yeah they rework a lot of classic tracks into new shyt but the sample game they have is dope and they're just putting on for what they know and grew up on. And his tracks bang. I hear a lot of people say Berner don't have no flow becuz he's "laidback" but he spits too I've heard a million times worse cats make noise in Hip Hop smh. He makes good smoking and riding music which I can always get down with

:yeshrug:

"Racin" (feel it in the air sample)

Stopped believing
When my mom stopped breathing
Watched my cousin get locked
After 4 cops beat him
Hit the gas
I just can't stop speeding
Someone tell these bops
I do not need em...
I miss my daughter
Man this world got me sick
I'm in a cheap hotel
Buying more bricks
3 Letter Boys got me sweating in my sleep
Rolling up in the morning
White ashes on my sheet

:wow:
