"We were just building a friendship of brothers that started years ago and we must not question God's wishes..."

"...but this time I wonder why, because I don't understand. I miss you and I'll take you with me forever. RIP, Hijo del Perro"

RIP Lucha Lee Breh

I never saw any of his matches. I'll look some up.

I agree that it probably wasn't Rey's fault. A dropkick to set the 619 up is not a grapple manuever where Rey has bodily control over the other wrestler. It is an initial contact (sometimes no contact if the distance of the kick is off) then its just a matter of the receipiant selling the fall to the crowd and positioning himselffor the finish on the first rope.

The vid is already taken down, but I'm thinking if it was a set-up for the 619 than the match was over so they had been wrestling for a while already most likely.
He may have already received another injury during the match or maybe something snapped or burst at the whiplash from the rope.

Thats sad. RIP

Here is a pic of him.

I just watched a clip of his from a match he had against Mistico.
He looked like a classic cocky heel. He snatches off mistico's mask then tries to put him in a small package while mistico is busy tryna hide his identity... :mjlol:
Of course it backfires and Mistico kicks out and taps him, but the crowd still pops for it. Classic Rudo.

:salute: RIP Breh

UPDATE x2: The Associated Press (via Wrestlezone) has picked up the story of Perro Aguayo Jr’s passing. In their report, it’s stated that the death is being investigated as a possible manslaughter.

Hijo Del Santo also commented on the death. He said: “It makes me very sad because he was a professional colleague and I have great affection for his father. I think the fans in Japan, the U.S. and Mexico of course, where he was very popular, must be in mourning, especially because of his youth. He had much ahead of him.

Meanwhile, TMZ (which also has footage of the incident, if you feel the need to view it) reported that the cause of death appears to be a snapped neck or spine after a stunt gone wrong, which goes along with PWInsider’s previous report.

Rey Mysterio has commented on the tragedy on Twitter. Roughly translated, he wrote: “Just formed a friendship between brothers who opened years ago and we should not question the designs of God. But in this occasion I wonder why and I do not understand it…I take you with me for the rest of my life, rest in peace HijoDelPerro.

Thats just a technicallity.
Whenever someone else is involved in a person dying it is manslaughter. Involuntary or otherwise.
That doesn't mean Rey or anybody else is in trouble. It wasn't intentional and Mexico is heavy into their wrestling.

What might happen though, is the Mexican equivalent of Fox News is gonna emphasize that the match wasn't immediately stopped, and speculate on whether he could of been saved had things been done differently. They'll try and hold the organization accountable on morale grounds, and maybe the family will sue. Thats what would happen in the US anyway.
