He could be broke.

Personally, I don't think he was broke. I also don't think he had a lot of long term investment. Got the impression that he was spending money as it came in to maintain the image he was selling.

That said, it is speculation. @Piff Perkins made a claim. I'd like to see the receipts.

I don't want add to the posthumous heat so I've stopped commenting. If people were fans then so be it and I'll respect that. But there's definitely stuff trickling out about his finances. Like there's a video circulating of him arguing with some white woman he was apparently subleasing a room from. Not a property...but a room. My only thing is people probably should've released that stuff while he was alive if they had a problem with him.
