RIP. Outside of Mr. Belvedere I remember that image of him being choked by Andre The Giant

Not gonna lie y'all, this one really hurts. Born and raised, there has been literally one constant voice (well, maybe Al Michaels also, but you get what I'm saying) in my sports lifetime, and now he's gone. Obviously we knew this time was coming, but man it still shocked me when I got the news.

Baseball on the radio is still so magical to me, and obviously growing up with Ueck in my ear is the reason for that. I can just imagine him and Vin somewhere up there talking baseball, and can't help but smile.

RIP Mr. Baseball. Baseball will never sound the same again.

That’s really it, mayne.

No Ricky.
No Ueck.
No Indians.
No Athletics for the first time since the 1800’s.

Baseball is for reals dead, yo.

RIP Ueck. :mjcry:

I love sports on the radio and baseball is perfect for it. Baseball announcers also just seem to really love the game and guys like Vin Scully and Bob Uecker did a lot for me as a kid for not only enjoying the game and having fun with it, but learn the history of the game at the same time. Baseball is a boring game played by some great characters and Uecker is a guy you just always assumed would be there. How could he not? :mjcry:

I've often said that growing up is just watching your childhood die and it hurts just as bad every time. RIP to a legend, thanks for the memories, laughs, lessons and love of the game :salute:
