This is a loss I can't even put into words...

I had a feeling something wasn't right, but I kept hearing folk say he was doing some Christian Bale method acting shyt...

I wish that was true, instead he was fighting a demonic disease for 4 years...:francis:

Does anyone know if colon cancer ran in his family? To get that in your 30's is extremely rare...

Forever our Black Panther...

Woke up fukked up. Feeling worse about this news than I did last night.

I saw Civil War 8 times in theaters JUST for Black Panther. I saw Black Panther in theater 10 times. It was one of the first movies I made my daughter watch even though she had no clue what the hell was going on. There was some criticism that T’Challa in that movie got upstaged but I always knew that Chadwick MADE that movie. T’Challa was always a quiet, intelligent, Kingly presence and Chadwick brought gravitas to that role for DAYS.

There are only a few people in this world that truly understand what Black Panther means to me as simply a symbol of black male heroism. And Chadwick brought it all to life before my very eyes.

Not mention this summer’s incredible performance in Da Five Bloods. In a lot of ways Chadwick always reminded me of something like how I pictured my father when he was younger. Intense but intelligent. Quiet but charismatic. I lost my father a few years before Black Panther came out so we never got to see it together but I did take him to see Civil War and he loved Chadwick’s portrayal.

This one hurts man. I can’t even put it into words man:mjcry:

Sorry breh. :to:

R.I.P. to Mr Boseman.
Colon cancer has such a low survival rate :mjcry: I had a direct report advance to stage 4 quickly and she unfortunately passed away within the first year of working on our team:wow:.

I woke up to learning of his passing. He will truly never be forgotten. May his beautiful soul Rest In Peace:sadcam:.

If you have a family history of colon cancer, please get a colonoscopy. If you don’t, please don’t skip these screenings when you are in your 40/50s.

Colon cancer has a good survival rate if it's caught early. But if it's advanced the survival rate is low, just like any cancer.

For black people, colonoscopies are especially the best test because the stool tests and flexible sigmoidoscopies that are used to detect cancers are better at detecting left sided colon cancers. We're at greater risk for right sides cancers, which the stool tests aren't as good at detecting.
Right sided colon cancers are more dangerous too

If you have a change in bowel habits (constipation, new onset bloody or black poo, frequent pooing, unintentional weight loss, drenching night sweats) particularly if you're 40 or more or have a family history, talk to your doctor.

All good info, great posting...

Its worth mentioning, regardless of age, if you have any odd bowel movements you need to see a doctor...

This brotha must of had this in his mid 30s (was diagnosed at 39) which no one without family history is advised to get a colonoscopy...

I remember when I had weird bowel movements and constipation the doctor telling me its not what you're thinking before doing a single test...

Beyond shocking. RIP Chadwick. Dignified and talented actor. Black Panther aside, I remember watching Marshall twice in theaters.

People kept hypothesizing it was simply for a movie role and I knew something was wrong when none of the films he was working on required weight loss. :wow:
