It took me a while, Early 30s to be exact. Had 2 incidents happen to me at the same time. One with a co worker the other with a girlfriend(not the mention the shyt I was going through with both my kids mothers). I notice if I didnt do exactly what they said their was a issue. shyt irked the fukk out of me. So bad I cut them off. shyt felt like someone took 2 45lbs plate off my back. I finally understood the value of my time and attention.

Nah you are going to get mad. Everything you thought and learned from your elders was bullshyt. You cant help but be mad.. shyt you have to playa. Get that shyt out of your system. Once you do that and start looking at things for what it is you'll be better off.

I'm only 32 don't know if that's considered old or not

But at every level of life as a BM you can sense that (some, not all) BW you encounter at that level will try to subtly challenge you in little ways or son you like you don't know what you're doing and need to be corrected.

It really doesn't matter what your qualifications are. They have a general distrust of black men leading things and will assume the worst about you until proven otherwise. And even then they won't apologize about it.

My advice is to maintain your distance from those types when you recognize the red flags.

There’s nothing I can do more to influence or change the opinions of others, so must control what I can control and cut out those who don’t fit into that plan
