Bruh, there were different reigns that each spanned hundreds if not thousands of years. So, let's say for 500 years, the rulers were black more in an Idris Elba way, then they were a little lighter and more Arab looking.

Still, just because the Pharoah's ranged in skin tone, the people were a mix of different races and skin types. So you'd have black people who looked more West and East African living with and working with Saharan looking people.

And it's funny, because when it comes to portraying the people *cough slaves cough*, they're not afraid to cast blacks, they remember us then, but when it comes to casting the leads, anything goes. Let's act like Anthony Mackie don't exist and cast a Brit as a nikka named Moses.
