As opposed to the “accurate” QBs of Marcus Mariota, Desmond Ridder, and Taylor Heinicke? :stopitslime:
Next year let’s bring in Tannehill, 36 year old off an Achilles injury Kirk Cousins or some other value bum :ohlawd:

Edit: Ridder has a 63% completion percentage so far. Is he accurate? :stopitslime:
Mariota is at 63% too. He accurate?

This team has botched QB for 3 consecutive seasons. I’m not advocating for Kirk Cousins but he’d be leagues better than what we’ve had at QB since Matt Ryan in his heyday.

And breh you’re proving my point, if Ridder and Mariota at 63% accuracy aren’t that accurate, good QB play is 65% and up, elite QBs now are closer to 70%, so why would we want a QB who’s a career 60% accuracy passer?

Bc that Chicago team can’t keep him upright, they run some horrible plays on offense and they just got him DJ Moore. He’s had some trash situations but it comes with the territory as a QB picked early to mid in the first round

I don’t trust their decision at QB but Cousins on paper is better than what we’ve had since Matt. Light years ahead but it doesn’t take too much to be better than them guys

Honest question, but what do y'all think about Tyler Huntley? :jbhmm:

Nice backup we need a legitimate plan at QB and this organization has failed to solve it.

My plan would be to go all in for a highly touted QB in the draft and get a stop gap level starter for a year, 2 max

One of the other reasons I’m so anti Justin Fields is that if you go get him you’re basically committing to him for a hundred million dollar extension for a player coming off his rookie deal (he’s eligible for an extension for 2024). Not even to mention that the Falcons (with this same regime) had the chance to get Fields and passed to draft all world unicorn Kyle Pitts

Fields hasn’t shown that he’s that caliber of QB so why would you commit to a guy at that price when you’re not even sure if this regime will be around after next season? It just doesn’t make sense on so many levels

To clarify about Fields, he has to play well for that contract next year if we got him and we can’t give up too much in draft capital for him. If we have to pay him and give up first round picks, I do not agree with getting him. He would not be worth the price. However if he can be had for not too much, why not see what he can do indoors in our RPO heavy offense?

What I’m saying is that it’s unlikely you spend the draft capital needed to acquire him for him to basically be on a “prove it” year. You go get him if you’re locking him up long term

Would you mind giving up multiple mid round picks (3rd-6th) for a prove it deal? Definitely not multiple 1st to 2nd round picks. It can’t hurt and we’d still be able to draft elite talent

No I don’t think he’s that guy

-he’s not an elite QB who’s accurate from the pocket

That’s my biggest complaint. He’s an elite athlete and can do all types of magical things on the field but is he consistently going to beat you from the pocket? No and a big part of why QB has failed for us recently is turnovers and mediocre QB play in the pocket. I don’t wanna trade draft picks, re up for a 150 million dollar contract for a guy who’s not accurate. But that’s just me :yeshrug:
