Its all about the music brehs, yeah Ross tells a lot of ducktales in his raps and exaggerates shyt, like people have already said about Dre went from dressing like a woman to being a thug, or from Biggie claiming he lived in a one room shack and eating sardines for dinner when in reality his mom claimed he had a good life, always buying him video games, new clothes and what not. Jay-Z has lied plenty of times in his raps, so does Nas, Big, and pretty much any rapper you're a fan of. Its just entertainment.

Lying in raps is one thing.. But lying in interviews are sacred ...These nikkas need these Barbara Walters type heart to heart talks with their favorite rappers in order to know that their music is worthy of downloading off the web for free....They really need to know these rappers as men and be able to trust and vouch for their character...

Lying in raps is entertainment. What's the reason for lying in interviews?

Danial Craig gets paid to play Bond in the movies. If he pretends to be Bond outside of the movies, people would think he's fukking crazy.

Understand?

Not maturity at all. It's maturity when guys feel comfortable enough to rap about their real lifestyle instead of the lives of the guys in the neighborhood they were afraid of. Craig rapping about D-Bo's life isn't maturity and if fans co-signed it it's not maturity. Craig rapping about Craig's life is maturity.

I get what you mean and I agree but the simply placing a higher premium on the music rather then the life and background of an artist is a great advancement in our art form and in the end it'll help expand our culture to new terrains. Our roots will never change.

Rap is just in a soft stage right now. Eventually the culture will revolve back around being authentic. The streets just don't have a say in hiphop right now. Everytime the game gets in this shiny suit soft era a hardcore artist comes out and changes the game. 50 and X was the last 1's to do it. Once the soft nikkas like Wiz and Big Sean get out the game and the next generation that is about 12 years old right now have their say then hopefully the music returns to holding artist accountable and authenticity would matter. But for now the soft nikkas are having it their way between hiphop and the Miguel/Frank Ocean nikkas it's a good time to be soft and cool.

We know he's a fraud, and quite frankly, we don't give a fukk. No different than Dre going from dressing up as a faggy ballerina to a weed smoking "OG." At the end of the day, we not fans based on their personal lives, we fans based on MUSIC. You people who can't enjoy someone's music because of their personal life (fraud or real, don't matter), were probably the same ones as kids reading People magazine laying down with your legs crossed in the air. Scust
sorry i refuse to let yall try to compare the two.

dre was rocking the crazy look because that disco look was hot when dre was a kid. you jump on whats hot at the time or when you were growing up. but dre was also from the hood. therefore dre gets a pass to speak on hood life and hood living.

this guy. this guy ross. being a CO while all kinds of dudes that look just like him are getting railroaded and sent to jail and knowing the CO's are treating these dudes like crap even when they dont deserve it. come on..there's nothing in comparison to that. thats just a que that should tell all THis era of Rap is complete and utter BS.

So it's just about the music now? :stopitslime:

In that case I don't ever want to hear about how "Nas lost," Euro Jay, Cam's "Hot Summer," Drakes simping, or Game's bi-polar tendencies from y'all ever again.

Funny shyt to talk about, yes. Does it take away from the music quality? No.

No ones saying you have to like the artist, just say you don't like their music and keep it moving. But to not like them based on what they choose to do in their personal life is some white girl shyt.

:manny: whatever floats your boat though
