That's a lot of the point, he lies continuously and the ducktales got worse and worse as time went on. Maybe your biased because he reps your city, but, you're a generally cool breh, he is not the hill to die on. To people not blinded by fandom, he comes off super corny.

I am biased, but it’s not that serious, is my point. I guess I see the moves he actually makes in real life, and the content of his later albums and give it a pass. I personally know dudes whose lives are in a better position, and feeding their families because of Ross. I don’t think he’s beyond criticism at all tho

I gotta say,

One day I was thinkin about that line on "Never Change" off blueprint

"'Sup to my miami and st thomas connects/
I never mentioned ya name i always promised respect"

Few years later Jay's the prez of Def Jam and signs Ross.

it's a stretch, but I was wondering if Ross and Jay were affiliated before rap and Signed him based on that, or Jay was affiliated with the nikkas who made money off ross, and signed him as a return favor to them.

Maybe, maybe not. It could all be bullshyt. But it made me think...
There’s no question their teams/affiliates knew of each other.

I knew about Jay-Z’s drug dealing rep before Reasonable Doubt through word of mouth living in VA. I remember he came to Norfolk St./Virginia St. game iced out one year.

The Miami boys were also plugs in the area, as were NYC guys, so I’m sure they their teams knew of each other and crossed paths in some way even if Ross was a nobody who was just affiliated for rap reasons.

Ross was a dusty nikka trying to get on in rap for a while. He has a feature on Erick Sermons album even before Trick Daddy put him on. His name was Tephlon. That was in 2000. Before he took another man’s name and back story.

Ross is a great artist. His persona is a joke though.

"The real Noriega, he owes me 100 favors"

If nikkas couldn't tell from back then they're truly slow indeed.
