Prince was killing show wise, he felt that he had to everything he could show wise to remain on top, when fans didnt care, they enjoyed both, but prince was kickin his ass musically and visually during a tour rick put prince on as a opening act,Prince actin a fool in women drawls and high heels, got everybody hormones 100,000,000 whatever crowd they had ended up leaving mid show to go fukk somethin, immediately after Prince finished.
Prince was Ricks biggest competition, both knew it, look for the rick james germany show on netflix or on youtube, you will see the worst performance ever, but the music was flawless especially once he dropped big day on em,one of ricks best songs ever. Rick did way too much performance wise, played guitar,harmonica,keyboard, symphony conductor, had the mary jane girls singin mary jane in opera form..
One thing Rick couldve did that would fukk prince up , was collab with Michael, the one person prince was scared of, Mike was always ready to take prince head off sonically. Prince chose to fukk with Rick's head more than he did with Mike, up until Rick snatched prince up during his birthday party(ricks) and poured cognac all over him.

I went to see Teena Marie in concert a few times, and she said Rick would tell promoters Teena Marie would be with him on the show, but tell Teena just to show up and do a guest appearance so he could get the money for her being there, but not have to pay her LOL.
