rm has some of the most advanced engineering and materials, the cats buying these want mechanical art with the focus on the former, they don't care if it's ugly

for example nadal plays tennis with a tourb on, that's the greatest shock resistance in a watch of its kind ever, all at just over an ounce

You are spot on. RMs are the BMW i8s of luxury watches. They won't hold their value, but the dudes buying them don't care, they are just purchasing clout. There are many more brands that make watches that hold their value long term than just Rolex. Longines, Omega, Patek Phillipe, IWC, etc are all older watchmakers than Rolex and will hold their value amongst contemporary luxury watches.

What's scary is Apple outsells the entire Swiss watch industry with its trash-ass Apple Watches.

One of my best friends works in the watch industry so I know for a fact that even the S-Tier High Value Coli Breh isn’t wearing a real RM. Even the celebrities you see wearing them are wearing fake versions. The real version is locked in a safe somewhere

Not only are there a very limited amount of RM watches in circulation (you literally have to apply to a waiting list) but the cheapest models start at £100k+.
