ITS LIKE PPL FORGET
GIANNIS IS ONLY 25 YRS OLD.

MJ & SHAQ DIDNT WIN UNTIL 28.

BRON DIDNT WIN UNTIL 27
AFTER FORMING A SUPERTEAM.

WAS BRON PIPPEN WHEN
HE WAS WINNING MVPS GETTING BOUNCED
EARLY IN THE PLAYOFFS?

Both Pippen and Lebron had way more offensive skill than Giannis at 25. Hell Giannis isn't even close to 09 Bron. And Bron was on a way worse team.

He was not Pippen, but because he was MVPs he deserved some criticism for getting bounced early in the playoffs. It's no different that Lamar Jackson winning MVP to only end up losing in the first round.

Whether people like to admit or not, winning MVP especially back to back on top of being DPOY creates expectations that deserves scrutiny if they aren't met. The NBA itself also places a part in this situation with how they constantly emphasis individual players over the entire team concept.

If the NBA and fans want to avoid this problem, then start emphasizing team success as a whole rather than individual players.

I don't believe that Bud (or anyone else for that matter) would have fared much better at all with our lineup this season AND I don't honestly believe that the Dubs front office had a real interest in being a fringe playoff team this season. Better to get the draft pick and move on from there.
Ask any Hawks fan, Bud would have had them boys winning 25 games. He takes regular season games too serious. We had an entire G-League squad win a NBA game once with us. Dude just can flat out coach but he's rigid and don't like to make adjustments.

I have no doubt that Kerr could have had us at more than 15 wins but don't discount the FO's goal of a better draft position...

And don't take what I'm saying anti-Bud...but Kerr has an impressive resume...

He may not be as SKILLED as Scottie but he’s absolutely more dominant and impacts a game more than Scottie. Shaq wasn’t the most skilled player at all, yet he has 4 rings and is considered top 10 all time. Why doesn’t Shaq get compared to lesser players?

:gucci:

Shaq was one of the most skilled big ever

No tf he wasn’t :mjlol:

He had average footwork, most back to the basket bigs did. But Shaq would just over power his man and dunk it...every time. What skills did he possess to earn the right to be called one of the most skilled bigs of all time?

Breh, he had great footwork. Look at how smooth his spin, drop step, or turn around shots are. Yeah he was physically dominant, but he made that shyt look smooth because of his footwork. Besides Dream and KAJ, what other center had low post game like this?

Shaq understood leverage and positioning better than most. If you paid attention it wasn't just dunks it was fundamentals, many of which are lost today. It was seals, spins, dropsteps etc. Of course Hakeem is the standard but Shaq was better than alot of big men skill wise.
