He's obviously a lot closer to MJ than Pippen. shyt, he's younger than when Bron and MJ won their first title. The answer is obvious, he just needs better personnel around him. Bledsoe is a good regular season PG but he doesn't really adjust well to the playoffs with his BBIQ that's lacking. They need to get him out of the paint and bring in CP3 who would be a perfect fit for Giannis. Next, get rid of Bud, he doesn't make adjustments. I watched every game of his in Atlanta, he's a regular-season superstar, a playoff bum. Bring in someone who is creative offensively and gets a lot out of CP3. I would look at D'Antoni. I am not hyped on Mike's defensive schemes but he showed me in the OKC series that if you give him a defensive coordinator worth a damn, he's not that bad.
Sometimes you don't need a superstar coach. Kerr for prime example is nowhere near as good as Bud but Kerr just knows how to get the most of his offense and his defensive coaches are always really good. Sometimes when you got a superstar who can get extreme attention, you need to be creative to get him shots and quality looks in the playoffs when things become tight. Bud is too rigid which is great in the regular season. He can get the most out of a lot of guys in his system who fit but if you can't make adjustments, you are mad limited in the playoffs. He blamed personnel in Atlanta for this but us fans kept saying this, Woody and LD was making adjustments in the playoffs, Bud wasn't. You don't get the worst beatdown in ECF history by Cleveland without Kyrie and Kevin Love just because the other team got LeBron. It's a lack of adjustments.
The biggest need they got is like Milwaukee had when they had KAJ. They need a PG who can create his own offense and lead the offense. Those Bucks got Oscar Roberson. They need a CP3. They also need to get rid of Bud who's not a championship level coach. People like these Bud types in the RS because of their consistent results but in the playoffs, you need to do a lot more.
