When you're working off of theories and not facts, its easy to misinterpret alot of things and apply them to policy while you wait for confirmation of what you believe to be the truth, friend.

Do you have and example of such a case because I don't see it.

Having someone work for you with adequate food, clothing, shelter and treatment is ideal. The chopping of limbs, gutting of pregnant women, stomping of fetuses in front of slaves, raping women instead of wifing them up, and whipping/raping men for the pettiest reasons created a lot of bad blood as it relates to race relations. If slaves were treated fairly, educated in math and science as well as the ways of the Lord an alliance probably would be formed between the two and they would be down for one another. An alliance that could have built a greater nation. But sadly, demons mistreated friends and then they were Crushed and smited.

Slavery by it's very nature is taking away a choice from some one. No matter how nice you make a prison it is still a prison and no matter how nice you treat a slave they are still a slave. Sicking that you are defending a institution like that.

Einstein's controversial theories on physics are in no way comparable to Hubbard's science fiction derived cult, at any point in time. Hubbard's theories have no body of evidence or calculations or anything empirical to speak of, don't be silly.

For a group of people whos existence is dedicated to understanding the world we live in you'd think they'd have a better grip on human nature and sociology studies. Science if it became a dominant culture would have a religion stemming out of it dictating certain moral/immoral/beliefs/culture/trends. People need structure and work better under order and there would definately be an individual there to fill that void. Plus after an incident or 2 with a mad scientist who oversteps his bounds people will definately cry out for these ethics to be put in place. Religion, cannot be escaped.

Scientists cannot prevent religions from popping up. History has shown there is a lot of power to be gained in starting religious groups. Religion will always exist. Its a natural part of human nature.

I don't think scientists are trying to prevent religion from popping up.

I think the goal of should be to limit it's influence on our secular society. Personally, I just want to see religion OUT of the public education system and out of government.
