so true but organized religion is the worse offender. Ideas in science can change religion can not only interpreted differently. And even then the abuse will stay pretty much the same.

Its destiny for religious friends to be persecuted as more people turn away from God in exchange for whatever the next belief system is. You may very well get to see the world you're longing for. But, lets say, in the new world people with genes like yours are the low class of society because science proves that your usefulness is best utilized in menial jobs. You ok with that, friend?

Mormons interpreted the bible to say that black people were decedents of Ham. That reasoning was also used as an excuse to enslave blacks at least from an religious point of view.

But HOW it was interpreted has changed vastly overtime. You complain that science changes all the time, but the interpretations and conceptions of religion change over time as well. It's been interpreted time and time again to justify atrocities. People interpret whatever they want to interpret from the bible and disregard the rest. Religion is a social construction and contributes no greater knowledge of the world.
