if you look at their combine numbers, they are. Both dudes tested as at least as fast, more agile, change speeds quicker, and jump higher than McNabb. The differences are significant too, and this is when McNabb was a lot slimmer.


Locker is one of the best athletes at the QB position. In fact if Locker was black, he would be the more stereotypical black qb over RG3 and Cam.

When I saw Locker at Washington I could tell he was genuinely a good athlete and not just good for a white kid. Didn't see Ponder.

I guess technically you may be right but I've seen McNabb make a whole lot of crazy plays to keep the chains moving that required some "slick" sthleticism.

We'll see what the future holds for Ponder and Locker

I guess its a matter of opinion, but I saw it as him trying to get his team fired up.

I noticed Ponder being a good athlete at FSU. That was literally the first thing I noticed about dude was how quick he was. I was surprised at it the first time, but he kept doing it so I just took note of him having some wheels. He had a nice run against San Fran too, iirc. Dude can run, he is real similar to McNabb in that aspect.


Locker, he used to run for his life at Washington and always evade things. They would call him the west coast Tebow in college, but he is much faster than Tebow. I was actually surprised he only ran a 4.5 at the combine, I expected a time faster than that. But he also has serious accuracy issues. Reading the scouting reports on him, it sounded like they were describing the stereotypical black QB, but they held off on that.
