Sanchez regressed from terrible to shouldnt be anywhere near the NFL bad. That's on Rex for even believing in this kid and continuing to stick with him. I've seen a lot of bad Jets QB's and this years Sanchez makes the Rick Mirer year look productive.

Mcelroy not even being dressed is absolutely on Rex. No way Sanchez should have even seen the field after the Seahawks game.

That throw over the middle in the end zone. He didn't even stride into it. It was a flatfooted throw!!

Jets are such a disaster i think the qb next year will be either Sanchez because of his contract or Tebow because Woody tell Rex the only way to keep his job is to start him

McElroy not being dressed for that other game when Tebow had the cracked ribs was on Rex too.

He shows ZERO competency on anything football related that isn't tied to defense

Its a 17 million dollar cap hit if they do..that shyt aint happening

Something will be arranged. There's no way they can even have Sanchez on the sideline at Metlife.

I bet hes deactivated for the last two games of this season. LAst nights game was never show your face again brutal.

FUnny thing is if the Jacksonville game were at home Mcelroy probably starts. That's how gutless this disgrace of a franchise is.

I hope youre right but in the nfl its hard as hell to manipulate the cap and work around it..its gonna be near impossible to get rid of him

I agree on The Mcelroy thing..thats why as much as i want him back and by his body of work Rex deserves another year if they fired him i wouldnt flip out because hes made numerous moves this year that make absolutely no sense its like hes lost his mind..

And Costello just tweeted Mcelroy is going to start. Rex has totally lost it. We have a home and away QB. This isnt high school.

One of the options on the table is split duties between McElroy and Tebow on Sunday, per source.

He is a great coach. You just don't like him period. For whatever reason, it's personal with you. He revived the Jets franchise, he has routinely won games in which he had the team with less talent, he has been to two AFC title games, he has been at the helm for huge playoff upsets, he has outcoached other great coaches, and he'll be successful wherever else he goes.

Show me the coach who has done more with less than Rex Ryan. And show me the coach who has been a game away from the Super Bowl twice in the past 4 years. It's not a long list. So either Rex is a great coach, or there are only 2 or 3 coaches worth anything in the league, which I think is nonsense.

The Jets are terrible. Ryan should shoulder some of that blame, but I don't know how to pretend it's his fault Sanchez regressed and plays like a fakkit, he has no running back to rely on, the receivers are either too inexperience or plain terrible, and the pass rush is nonexistent. Despite all of this, he had the Jets winning all the games they had a good chance to win (until Monday). I think this is a 3-win team, and I think he has gotten a lot out of this pathetic roster.

He'll go somewhere else and excel. Book it.

How is he the best QB?

He has 50 fukking turnovers in 2 seasons, he leads the NFL in the last 2 years in turnovers.

Is he simply the best QB because you say it?

As bad as Tebow was, his passes were off by so much they didn't get intercepted and McElroy is unproven, but unproven is better than absolute shyt. Sanchez is the 33rd ranked passer, yes he can't even crack the top 32 in a league of 32 teams

Is there a better alternative on that roster?

I wanna see Rex do good because of his Raven roots, but I just don't see how Tebow or McElroy is better than Sanchez. Now that the season is over I can see them going to McElroy just to see what they have in him. I'm not saying Sanchez is a good QB by any means, dude is awful, but at least he's had a string of good games in the past.

How would we know if neither of them ever get the chance to show it.

McElroy came in and won them a game.

Tim Tebow's career stats are 48% passer, 2,422 yards 17 td's and 9 picks and a career rating of 75.

Sanchez has a career rating of 72.

NOTHING signifies that Sanchez is the clear cut better QB at this point
