Couldve said the same thing about a lot of our early wins last year but I kinda agree. We'll see how it turns out but I feel like when they play us there gonna get reminded whats good out west.

At least I hope.

You could have I guess, but also add in the fact that there were replacement refs for the first 3 games, and once the replacement refs went their pass defense turned to shyt.

Dudes were probably holding left and right and getting away with it.

Also they played 3 out of their first four at home, that's always a nice thing to do.

We played 3 out of our first four on the road.

They`ll fall off

Arizona is not for real. 9ers are the best team in the division and should have no issue winning it. I say we go 12-4, 11-5 if we stay healthy.

#49ers Jim Harbaugh gave a thumbs-up to Colin Kaepernick's throw to Randy Moss into triple coverage vs. Jets ...

"I thought it was a good throw. And it ended up being about a 58-yard throw into, it wasn't a wind storm, but we were going into the wind at that point. And his ball powered through it. It gave Randy a chance. It was the right read, too. Of the two options he had, thought that was the good decision to make that throw."

harbs will never criticize any player in public/media, ever. Im pretty sure what he says and what he thinks is pretty different. and not even in this instance, but in general. thats one of the reasons why they play hard for him.

of course it also makes you think how loyal is he to players in reality- like alex, for example, after all he's said about him, would he be ready to replace him...I do think the answer is yes but not as clear cut

I agree on AZ, they have a young and rising defense, but its not THAT great. and offense still a mess, I dont trust anyone on that offense not named larry. that oline is on borrowed time and so is kolb imo.

their front 7 is a problem tho and patrick peterson is growing up before our eyes...

Everyone seems to be applauding the 49ers creative use of quarterback Colin Kaepernick in the team’s 34-0 win over the Jets Sunday. Kaepernick gained 50 yards rushing in three carries (and then had two kneel downs at the end of the game). He also scored on a 7-yard scamper for the game’s first points.

The 49ers also got a 28-yard gain out of wide receiver Mario Manningham, and 9- and 7-yard gains out of Kyle Williams and Ted Ginn Jr. respectively.

However, NFL Films senior producer Greg Cosell doesn’t see the creativity Sunday as a necessarily a positive. With the 49ers going heavily to the unconventional, the 49ers might not have a firm peg in which to hang their offensive hat.

“Now they are trying to manufacture offense rather than executing offense, and I don’t think that manufacturing offense in today’s NFL wins Super Bowls,” Cosell said Monday on KNBR-AM’s Fitz and Brooks show. Cosell has been breaking down film for over 30 years at NFL Films.

“I think the teams that compete have a stable offense, whether it’s run, pass or both with consistency and they are not looking to manufacture offense on a week to week basis. The way they won yesterday might raise more questions than answers.”

Cosell suggested the offense regressed the last two weeks with the ineffective play of Alex

He's right IMO. Our passing game has looked terrible for the past two weeks.

I don't believe AZ yet, they`re pass defense looked awful vs. Tannehill and they been scraping by with wins in 3/4 games.

The slipper is gonna come off soon.

NE they slipped by
Seattle slipped by
Miami they slipped by

I actually think Arizona is legit...on Defense. You can't deny the fact that they've won 11 of their last 13 games. In my opinion, their defense is good enough to get them into the playoffs. Their achilles heel is their running game, quite frankly. They can't run the ball but have been able to overcome that and win games.
Also, you might say that they got lucky and should've lost against the Dolphins and the Pats, but good teams find ways to win. Are they slightly overrated...yes. But that doesn't mean they're not good.
To the point of them playing 3 of their first 4 at home, that's legit. They'll have to go on the road and prove it. Right now they're giving up 15.2 ppg, which is 3rd in the league. We're 4th with 16.2 ppg (Coincidentally, Seattle is 2nd 14.5 ppg).
Bottom line, I don't think we overlook them when we play. I'm pretty sure that our records will be close coming down to week 17...

I kind of agree to, but we were doing the same shyt last year, I think the Kaepernick thing was just a way to do the Jets own shyt to them though.

I don't really think the pass game looked terrible vs. NYJ though, we just knew running the ball was going to beat them so we went with that. You attack an opponents weakness.

But you can only do the trick stuff for so long, so I think he has a point, but I don't think this is the norm, this was just one game strategy.

When you look at the first 3 weeks there wasn't this kind of stuff and our offense played well in the first 2 then ran into Minnesota who looks legit as they held Detroit to 13 this Sunday too.

I think they`re legit on defense too, just not top 5 in the league like they been playing legit.

I think the replacement refs made their secondary look a lot better than it was.

I`m actually real excited for that St. Louis vs. Zone game tonight, I got the Digiorno ready in the freezer.
