Some Observations:

Iupati is elite, I never seen a guy that size on O-Line be as nimble as he is, he's almost fullback fast.

:wtf: Did u see how dangerous Randy Moss could be, he just ran upfield on some bullshyt and took half the defensive backfield with him. On paper Alex Smith should :eat:

I know this is just the 1st game but after seeing Brandon Jacobs, I'm almost fully convinced Anthony Dixon is gone

I'm happy for Kyle Williams he did well out there on PR.

I'll admit to speaking too soon about Jenkins, his catch radius is :wow:

Lamichael James will be our breakout player, the dudes speed is insane.

Alex Smith looked good out there, his accuracy has improved considerably

Kaepernick has great feet and moves quick :scusthov: at his passing though.

Pass protection on the right side is shaky, but I think Alex will let the ball go quicker.

I like Perrish Cox

Overall, our run game is going to be tough to beat. We will shove the ball down a lot of teams throats until they shyt pigskin.

Lol at CBS having us at 9-7.

Strangely enough Alex Smith is the best QB in the div.

9-7 and 10-6 are very realistic, imo. It's highly unlikely that we will protect the ball the same way we did last season, same with all those turnovers we generated. Has there ever been an NFL who made such a huge turn around and was able to maintain there level the next season?

If 9-7 gets us to the playoffs, I'll be more than fine with it.

Gotta say the run game looked very good and Hunter and Jacobs especially.

Alex looked good an Kaep looked ok at best the run was cool but he needs to improve throwing the ball

Overall a good showing

With the RBs and WRs Kaep should be in Wildcat plays in case they run into the Redzone issues from last year.

wildcat in the redzone is not a good look imo. teams stack the box against us already and they will certainly do so against widlcat.....kaep is already inaccurate and out there, teams will sell out to stop the run and take their chances of kaep throwing an accurate pass in a very short field.

basically, in red zone both kaeps main tools-arm strength and mobility-become less important as pertaining to our team, imo.

I havent watched the entire game, but I agree with LOTS of stuff here

perrish cox, Ill say it again. by 1/2 of the season I expect him to be beating out brock for the #4 corner. by 3/4 of the season I can see him beating out culliver/brown for the #3 CB job and making a run at #2

jacobs looks much slimmer and quicker. hunter is looking fresh and great, that dumpoff from alex he caught frankie wouldve dropped 99% :(

Ill add that Im still unimpressed by pass protection, from all the string I saw...on that play I was talking about, 3 linemen/backers came at alex, 1 unblocked and 2 crushing the center and the tackle, respectively, at once and he had to dump it off to hunter or be sacked....

run game looks great, I think the versatility will keep defenses guessing. while I dont think it was amazing last year, but still solid...this year is the chance to be great. we have great run-blocking receivers in vd and crabs,
iupati, and leonard davis is a great run blocker when not doing false starts :heh: an about 5 backs with a different style each of them can hurt you

besides oline pass protection, secondary is the second worry, and it didnt help carlos looking like nate and gettin burned. thats why I have high hopes for cox :heh: because if CB play aint up to par...this aint finna be pretty

I meant use him as a runner, no way in hell right now I'd trust him to pass there.

but thats the point-defenses will see the wildcat, rightly think this is an obvious run play since we dont trust kaep to pass , completely sell out and most likely crush it.

wildcat works best when there is some actual danger of passing present.

:damn: that throw to jenkins

Isn't a single QB on the roster than can make that pass. Kaep needs to just get better in the pocket. He still looks raw as hell. Maybe he'll be ready next year? Even his throwing motion improved.

I didnt see the improvement tbh. he still looks really raw and awkward, and its disappointing...plus the fact that alex was on another level than him in camp and practice...is also disappointing.

I know its still way early, but Im personally starting to think he wont ever be anything more than a gimmick QB...well prolly draft a QB in a year or two again.
